In this Temporary role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population on various Acute care services including General Medicine, Orthopedic, and Neuro. We provide one-on-one therapies that are tailored to meet the individual needs of our patients. Utilize your strong communication skills to collaborate with the entire Medical and Rehab team and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
This is a Temporary position, working Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm
Preferred Criteria
* Previous acute care experience
* At least year of PT experience

-At least five years clinical experience. The HSS Orthopedics Now program provides consistent, immediate access for patients 12 years and older with an undiagnosed musculoskeletal injury or sudden onset of pain to be triaged, receive an initial diagnosis, and if appropriate, quickly connected to the right subspecialized level of care.
The HSS Orthopedics Now Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) sees patients at an HSS location to triage, diagnose, treat, and when needed, refer patients to a higher level of care in an expedited timeframe.
The NP/PA sees patients autonomously, in collaboration with, and with the support of HSS physicians. The NP/PA is an advanced practice provider who is licensed to practice their profession and provides a full range of primary, acute, and specialty healthcare services. The NP/PA is responsible for diagnosing and treating acute musculoskeletal injuries including, but not limited to:
• Bone, joint, or muscle injuries
• Strains, sprains, minor dislocations, and closed fractures

HSS Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency
HSS Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency is accredited by the American Board of Physical Therapy Residency & Fellowship Education as a post-professional residency program for physical therapists in Orthopedics. It is a one-year, full-time, clinically-based training program designed to accelerate the professional development of selected physical therapists.
Physical therapists with advanced clinical skills from the outpatient areas of HSS Rehabilitation serve as faculty mentors to guide residents in development of advanced clinical expertise and current knowledge in the specialty of orthopedic physical therapy. The program is also designed to prepare residents to sit for the ABPTS Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS) examination.
Dates:
The Residency runs from January 1 - December 31 of each year
