Lead With Expertise: Become a Hospitalist PA in Internal Medicine The Department of Medicine at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist houses the largest medical department as well as its own medical residency program. PAs will work alongside Cornell faculty and Methodist residents managing 320 general medical beds and 16 critical care beds. Admissions in the Department of Internal Medicine alone exceed 20,000 patients per year, generating a wide spectrum of patients and pathology. Per Diem Physician Assistant - Hospitalist PA - Internal Medicine The per-diem hospitalist PA will be utilized to cover our inpatient med-psych unit, inpatient rehab unit, and inpatient medicine services. The per-diem PA will have their own panel of patients on one of the non-teaching services providing general inpatient management care, including admissions/discharges, medication reconciliation, patient counseling, and other daily management and care. Coverage currently includes all shifts. Priority coverage needs for day shift (7a-8p) and night shift (7p-8a). They provide a variety of diagnostic, therapeutic, preventive, and health maintenance services to patients who are critically ill or injured.
