Previously I was a Managing Director for NextGen Venture Partners, a venture capital fund with offices in DC, NYC, Boston, Chicago, and Austin. While at NextGen, I launched the NYC office, helped spearhead our first fund, led investments for NYC and the Bay Area, and built a coalition of 150+ technologists, capital partners, and angel investors who served as venture partners. Prior to Nextgen I was a Director at Techstars where I sourced and screened over 40 investments for the fund and launched three accelerator programs in conjunction with Disney (digital media and entertainment), R/GA (connected devices, IoT), and Kaplan (edtech). I have an extensive background in private equity and M&A, including experience with The Carlyle Group, 3i Group, and Credit Suisse. Over the course of my career, I have completed transactions totaling more than $20 billion. I am a frequent guest lecturer on topics related to VC and entrepreneurship, board member of Harvard in Tech, and advisor to multiple early-stage startups.
