Mission
Design the best product experiences-not just in healthcare, but across any industry. Make NexHealth known for design excellence. You will own end-to-end design execution across our most critical surfaces. Your north star is user clarity and product simplicity. Like Airbnb or Apple, we believe design is not just polish-it's a strategic weapon. NexHealth must become a design-led company. The bar isn't “great for healthcare”-it's world-class, period. As we scale, design will be our competitive edge-not just our coat of paint.
You won't support PMs. You'll be equal to them-and often lead product scope and influence technical architecture through superior UX clarity. Our process starts with designing the ideal user experience first. From there, we spec product features and only then write code. Design sets the direction. Everything else follows.
What You'll Do
End-to-end UX design across NexHealth payments.
Full responsibility for research, flows, wireframes, prototypes, and final UI.
Lead product scope and shape technical implementation through design-first thinking.
Collaborate tightly with PMs and Engineers as a co-equal product builder.
Build and evolve design systems and scalable UI standards.
Craft experiences that eliminate work or make the job dead simple for users.
Champion user clarity, accessibility, and precision across every surface.
Make design decisions that directly shape product architecture and engineering priorities.
What Success Looks Like
Users understand and love the product without needing explanation.
UX becomes a primary reason for adoption, retention, and customer satisfaction.
Design drives clarity across engineering and product teams.
NexHealth earns recognition as a product and design powerhouse.
You shape product strategy through your design leadership.
Users feel confident, delighted, and in control-even in high-stakes workflows.
What You'll Bring
5-8+ years of end-to-end product design ownership.
Deep experience in SaaS, platform, or API-heavy environments.
Strong product intuition and the ability to lead product strategy through design.
You think like a PM and build like an engineer.
World-class taste and systems thinking.
Ruthlessly reduce friction, polish flows, and solve for clarity over cleverness.
Why Now
We are scaling fast. NexHealth must be known for its design. We believe design is a company-level strategy, not a function. You will lead our most important product work and help define the future of NexHealth from the top. The next great infrastructure company will be defined by design. That's our bet.
How Nexers Work
Ownership: You drive the result, not just the work.
First Principles Thinking: You cut through noise to find truth.
Execute and Deliver: You move quickly with quality and purpose.
Raise the Bar: You elevate everyone around you.

You default to simplification over decoration.
You believe clarity is the highest form of design.
You want to help define the next great product and design company in tech.

Staff Data Scientist
We're looking for a Staff Data Scientist who wants to build. You will design NexHealth's financial data foundation from the ground up: the pipelines, models, and dashboards that power revenue reporting, forecasting, and decision-making across the company. This is a zero-to-one role where you will move fast, ship scalable systems, and apply first-principles thinking to every modeling decision. If you love combining engineering with analytical depth, this is your canvas.
What You'll Do
Architect financial data systems. Design and implement the data pipelines and models (Snowflake, dbt, Sigma) that unify billing, revenue, and product usage data into a single source of truth.
Build automation from scratch. Replace manual spreadsheets and ad hoc analyses with code-driven forecasting pipelines powered by Stripe, Chargebee, and internal APIs.
Partner with leadership to define the metrics that matter. Translate executive questions into reproducible models for ARR, churn, and cohort health - with clear assumptions and data lineage.
Scale data contracts and governance. Define schemas, enforce data integrity tests, and own the process for evolving definitions as the business scales.
Build product insight systems. Connect product usage, configuration, and retention data to customer outcomes. Deliver dashboards and models that reveal adoption trends, churn risks, and opportunities to improve product performance.
Lead by example. Mentor analysts and engineers in data modeling, testing, and system design.
What You'll Bring
At least seven years of experience in data science or analytics engineering at a high-growth SaaS company, ideally where you built foundational systems
Strong skills with modern data stacks such as Snowflake, dbt, and Sigma (or similar BI tools)
Deep understanding of SaaS financial metrics such as ARR, churn, retention, lifetime value, and CAC payback, and how to model them in SQL and code
Experience designing automated data pipelines and forecasting systems using APIs from tools like Chargebee, Stripe, or Salesforce
Solid engineering instincts, including version control, testing, and CI/CD for analytics
Strong communication and storytelling skills that connect insights to decisions
A builder mindset: excited by blank slates, scaling impact through automation, and simplifying complexity through systems
NexHealth Principles
As Nexers, we are strong owners and first principle thinkers who can execute and deliver fast, hungry for learning and personal growth, and we make sure the company succeeds above all else.
As such, our culture is shaped with the following principles:
Strong ownership: Knows what needs to be done, and gets it done with little or no oversight.
Bias for action: Outcome oriented. Delivers results fast.
Acts with first principles: Describes the ideal end state with first principles, and helps us get there fast.
Growth mindset. Hungry for learning and personal growth.
Company first: Does whatever is right for the company and our customers.
Benefits
Competitive salary plus equity
Commuter benefits

About the Role
We're looking for a Talent Operations Manager to design, implement, and scale the systems, tools, and processes that fuel our hiring engine. Nexhealth job in San Francisco, CA
NexHealth's mission is to accelerate innovation in healthcare. Fixing healthcare is the challenge of our generation. This industry is stuck in the 1990s while affordability and accessibility are spiraling out of control. We currently spend ~20% of GDP on healthcare, while the 25% of the world's data is stuck on legacy and antiquated health systems. NexHealth's goal is to create an open and modern ecosystem to accelerate innovation in the space. We make it easier for everybody to build in healthcare, and ultimately empower ordinary people with access to more modern, efficient and affordable healthcare solutions.

Platform Engineering at NexHealth
NexHealth has built the world's most advanced healthcare integration API that synchronizes in real-time. With our real-time integration with electronic health record systems (EHRs), we help developers at tech companies like Swell, Truelark, Quip, Cherry, and more quickly build products and services that synchronize with EHR systems. NexHealth has also built our own doctor facing SaaS product on top of our own API.
On the platform engineering team, you'll work on some of our most challenging problems, from building an open data lake for health records, to building dev ops for our next 100x growth, to defining and building the next generation of health record system integrations for the industry.
What You'll Do
Keep up with our exponentially growing customer base and associated dataset, scaling our data processing and storage layer from terabytes to petabytes and beyond.
Build and maintain bidirectional, real-time integrations with dozens of EHRs, scaling to hundreds or thousands of integrations.
Drive improvements to our core systems to unlock 100x growth in the number of practices, patients, and developers relying on our platform.
Own cross-functional projects end to end, from technical design and decomposition to a successful launch and rollout.
Partner with engineering leaders and product managers to generate, prioritize, and deliver on ambitious engineering goals.
What You'll Bring
10+ years of experience as a software engineer, with a focus on building scalable back-end systems and platforms.
Deep experience integrating and scaling storage systems, cloud-native services, and related open source projects, including the Kubernetes ecosystem, AWS, and PostgreSQL.
Knowledge of common DevOps tools and practices.
Firm grasp of quality and security engineering principles. You understand not just the what, but also the why.
A vision for what great software and great engineering looks like, and the technical expertise and leadership skills to make that vision a reality.
Excellent systems-level thinking. You can understand all the different components of a distributed system, how they interact, and how customer journeys and data flows touch each part.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. You can communicate technical concepts to business stakeholders, and business needs to the engineering team.
