To better serve our customers in the rapidly changing political advertising environment, the TelevisaUnivision Political and Advocacy team has embarked on an ambitious and exciting mission to position ourselves as an integral resource to political advertisers, marketers, and agency partners by connecting them with Hispanic voters.
The Director of Political and Advocacy Sales will play a key role in driving the team's sales initiatives and revenue growth across all TelevisaUnivision platforms. The role will leverage political experience and sales expertise to develop new business with political campaigns, party committees, PACs, and advocacy groups. The position is also responsible for supporting existing accounts, executing sales plans, and managing the tactical approach for each account.
This role requires a strategic thinker and effective collaborator with impeccable sales and communication skills and a proven history of driving ad sales as an individual contributor. Executive presence, political acumen, and strong organizational agility are essential.
YOUR DAY TO DAY
+ Establish new accounts and oversee their management in conjunction with political team leadership
+ Develop and drive sales outreach for target races, states, and regions
+ Leverage TelevisaUnivision's assets across all platforms to create innovative client advertising campaigns
+ Working with multi-market regional and local teams, deliver client plans and establish goals and measurement framework
+ Contribute to team sales efforts, including owning large-scale presentations and collateral
+ Manage all functions of sales efforts including distribution of materials, account mapping, reporting, and identifying new opportunities to meet and exceed revenue goals
+ Monitor key pacing metrics to ensure all performance metrics are achieved
+ Align sales management efforts, including account mapping and presentations, with company-wide initiatives, annual planning, key tentpoles and areas of growth and strength for TelevisaUnivision
YOU HAVE
+ Minimum of 4 years media, political, agency or related experience; experience working in a client-facing role within a media company or advertising agency preferred
+ Minimum of 2 years digital media (streaming, social) sales experience
+ Passion for cross-platform advertising and ability to work and sell in a fast-paced, changing environment
+ Expertise in sales processes, digital platforms, technical markets, pricing models, measurement platforms, technology trends, customer buying patterns and budgeting across all asset and platform types, including but not limited to display, video, OTT, audio, social, branded content, email and programmatic solutions
+ Strong relationship building skills and a solid understanding of sales disciplines, strategic sales, and consultative selling
+ Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills and the ability to translate ideas into clear, high-impact communications; comfort presenting to a client is a must
+ Excellent collaboration skills and capacity to work across a complex, matrixed environment, while operating within all levels of the company including senior leadership
+ Adaptability and comfort working in a rapidly changing environment
+ Creative thinking and ability to align client needs with sophisticated digital and integrated opportunities
+ Market-level and regional knowledge of clients, agencies, prospects, and competitive offerings
+ Ability to travel regularly to attend client meetings, conferences, seminars and industry events
+ Time flexibility required to interact with people in different geographical locations

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location: Base annual salary range: 180,000-220,000 + Bonus + Benefits

The Group Sales Support Specialist will work across all Nexstar media platforms to create proposals, execute, and steward campaigns. The position will focus on both pre- and post-sales with a customer-first approach, along with optimizing campaigns to ensure delivery. Also, the individual is responsible for entering and coordinating orders, billing requests, as well as developing sales proposals and/or plans with their account executive for agency and/or client deals. Responsibilities include:
Will create strategic cross-platform plans that maximize the Nexstar portfolio and meet agency and/or client objectives.
Responsible for understanding and utilizing sales systems as well as supporting the sales process/procedures end-to-end
Review all IO's to ensure they match approved media plan.
Track individual deal delivery and prepare ADU schedules for linear. Work closely with Inventory team on digital campaigns to pace to client goals.
Works closely with NGS team to understand customer goals and design programs that deliver results
Enter and revise orders
Work with marketing team to secure materials and schedules for proposals
Submit special billing requests
Respond to NGS sellers and client requests regarding spot times
Assist NGS team with creating sales material and developing client pitches.
Create media plans with pricing and planning support and direction as well as inventory and yield management to create the most effective package.
Foster key relationships with clients and agency contacts
Work closely with Ad Operations/Commercial Operations on timing and execution of campaigns.
Monitor both on-air schedules and digital. Manage changes and coordinate with Ad Ops/Commercial Ops to ensure schedule airs as ordered
Provide post summaries of account delivery
Resolve order/invoice-billing discrepancies
Work closely with and communicate directly with client/agency contacts for general account support and campaign assistance
About you:
1+ years' experience in media
Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience working with STBS, Wide Orbit or Salesforce a plus
Strong analytical skills
Ability to manage client expectation
Solutions-oriented customer service focus that emphasizes driving sales
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
