Requirements:
Bachelor's degree preferred in journalism, communications or related or equivalent years of experience.
3-5 years of news content experience.
Top-notch communication skills are an absolute must.
Solid journalistic judgement and a news philosophy that emphasizes accurate, fair and unique local content, along with community engagement.
Understanding of the tenets of professional journalism.
Skills in producing engaging, content-driven newscasts and digital content.
Strong social media skills, including an active news hound presence on your preferred social platforms.
Organizational skills and the ability to work under time pressure deadlines.
Ability to calmly handle live, breaking news situations and changing events.
ENPS and Edius system experience preferred.

Job Summary/Description:
The Senior Producer will help craft and elevate newscasts through rundown reviews, script and graphic approvals, and identifying opportunities for showcasing and high-impact storytelling. This person will be responsible for leading the morning team editorial meeting, working with the team to craft compelling and captivating newscasts, and working with the News Director and Assistant News Director to identify and execute opportunities to shape and grow our on-air and digital news strategy.
This person must be a master multi-tasker who is naturally proactive, has the ability to prioritize situations independently, and builds trust within the team. You must be an innovator, who can see the big picture. You are also a stickler for the details and producing error-free work.

Qualifications/Requirements:
* A college degree in journalism or a related field, and at least two or more years of newsroom experience.
* At least one year in a leadership role or management position is preferred.

* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), proven news judgment, ethics, and integrity.
