ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
This position requires face to face interactions with staff, board, vendors, and the general public on a daily basis to accomplish all essential functions of the position.
TREATMENT IMPLEMENTATION & DOCUMENTATION
Deliver therapy sessions based on the SLP's Plan of Care, ensuring interventions align with established goals and measurable outcomes. Collect data during sessions and maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with agency policies, Medicaid, and private insurance requirements. Prepare therapy materials and maintain a safe, organized treatment environment. Support caregiver education by modeling strategies and providing home programming guidance under SLP direction.
INDIVIDUALIZED THERAPY

PRESCHOOL INCLUSION COLLABORATION
Assist in fostering inclusive preschool environments by supporting the development of Preschool Inclusion Plans (PIPs) and Classroom Inclusion Plans (CIPs) under SLP guidance. Prepare adaptive materials and visuals to support classroom inclusion. Participate in team meetings, professional development, and family meetings as needed.

A Typical Day:
A typical day for the clinical assistant involves collaborating with and providing clinical and administrative support to the healthcare practitioner to ensure the delivery of high quality, compassionate patient care. POSITION SUMMARY
What you'll be doing: We are hiring a Medical Assistant to assist our providers with exams, procedures and other processes to meet the specific needs of our patients, including but not limited to:
Triaging patients, measuring vitals, and recording information on patients' charts
Blood draws, venipuncture, specimen collection, and completion of lab work
Administering medications and immunizations under provider direction
Setting up procedures as instructed by provider
Preparing treatment rooms for examinations and bringing patients from the waiting room to exam rooms
What you'll bring to the table: Graduation from a Medical Assistant, EMT, Paramedic, or other relevant program, OR an active Registered Medical Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant designation, OR 6 months of experience in a relevant environment. We'd also prefer if you have prior recent experience in a healthcare setting, such as an emergency department, urgent care, or other ambulatory clinic.

Physician is required to have graduated from an Allopathic or Osteopathic residency in either Family Medicine, Internal Medicine Pediatrics, or Emergency Medicine within the United States. Experience in Urgent Care or Pediatrics is a plus. Must be comfortable evaluating patients of all ages and acuity. Expected to take a vested interest in their patients' well-being, demonstrate good listening skills, and express empathy and understanding when communicating with patients.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage urgent and emergent medical problems.
Renders medical care to all patients who present to the urgent care on all assigned shifts.
Obtains an adequate history and performs an appropriate physical examination for the presenting problem.
Create patient-specific care plans with appropriate treatments to fit individual needs.
Recommend specialists for treatment outside of their capacity.
Perform minor surgical procedures including laceration repair, I&D, nail removal, paronychia incision and drainage, etc.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as EKGs and PFTs.
Provide a preliminary reading on x-rays and splint injuries as appropriate.
Work with and improve quality metrics.
Be a team player and work with other staff members to provide high-quality care.
Interacts with the Center Manager regularly. Keeps manager and medical director informed of concerns and potential liability situations.
Arrives at the Urgent Care on the scheduled day at the start of shift and leaves after the clinic closes and the last patient has left the premises.
Agrees to participate in periodic Urgent Care staff meetings.
Maintains a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients and families in accordance with urgent care standards.
Attends meetings and education programs as required.
Be available and participate in on-call assignments one day per month.
Be willing to travel to nearby clinics for shifts if need arises.
Must be able to see 3-4 patients per hour in the Urgent Care setting.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education (Required): Graduation from an Allopathic or Osteopathic medical school.
Experience: Graduation from an Allopathic or Osteopathic Family Medicine residency in either Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Pediatrics.
Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible.
Must have an active, unrestricted license in North Carolina
Prior experience in Urgent Care or Pediatrics is a plus.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills.
BLS/ CPR Certified
REPORTING TO THIS POSITION:Possibility to supervise Advanced Practice Providers as approved by the Chief Medical Officer.
