NextCare Urgent Care is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Medical Front Office Receptionist that likes the challenge of a fast pace setting and working in a team environment. Responsibilities
Medical Front Office Receptionist is the first point of contact for patients in the clinic and is responsible for keeping patients and families informed of wait times, monitors the flow of patients, processes patients for discharge including preparing charges, collecting payment, obtaining all necessary signatures and issuing receipts in addition to:
* Obtain personal and insurance data from the patient and inputs information into EMR system.
* Monitors the flow of patients, including placing patients into rooms as needed.
* Completes all necessary insurance forms for registration to ensure proper reimbursement from payors.
* Prepares daily deposit, reconciliation, and daily statistical information.
* Ensures an adequate stock of front office supplies and proper functioning of equipment.
* Answers telephone utilizing quality customer service skills.
* Ensures patient waiting area and restrooms are clean and reflect a positive image of NextCare.
* Manages patient appointments scheduled via the NextCare website
* Notifies back office immediately of any urgent medical concerns a patient may be experiencing
* Educates patients on services offered by NextCare for their current or next visit
* Promptly notifies the Clinic Manager of any patient or employee safety concerns.

The Medical Assistant will be caring for patients in the following capacity:
* Assists provider with exams (including patient vitals), procedures and other processes related to direct patient care under direct supervision of the Provider and within the scope of practice of a Medical Assistant.
* Administers all forms of medications per policy and Provider direction and adheres to all safety protocols and procedures for medication administration.
* Will perform blood draws as per direction of the Provider

Position Key Accountabilities:
* Performs clinical evaluation of voice and upper airway symptoms as related to educational, medical, social and psychological factors to identify patient needs for therapy services.
* Evaluates special populations, including professional voice users/performers, patients requesting gender aligning care, patients with chronic lung disease, and select pediatric patients with voice/airway conditions.
* Performs diagnostic laryngeal imaging examinations (flexible and rigid videostroboscopy) and acoustic/aerodynamic assessments of voice/airway function.
* Performs instrumental assessments of swallowing, including flexible endoscopic evaluations of swallowing (FEES) preferred, but not required.

JOB SUMMARY
The Speech Language Pathologist 1 plans and administers speech language pathology services including evaluation, treatment and education programs for patients to restore speech, language and swallowing abilities.

The PA Surgical Specialty-Operative is a licensed, certified, non-physician healthcare provider who actively renders direct patient care and possesses delegated prescriptive authority, is credentialed and privileged, and whose service is billed as an independent billing provider, as recognized by Medicare and Medicaid within the healthcare systems, and in accordance with the appropriate board. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
• Assesses the physical and mental condition of patients by performing and obtaining comprehensive or problem-focused physical examinations and medical histories.
• Orders, collects, interprets, and evaluates laboratory and other diagnostic tests to assess patient problems and health care needs.
