NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a part-time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to support our Cedar Park clinic in the Austin, TX market. This is a part-time urgent care position based in Cedar Park (Austin, TX). Providers care for patients of all ages and manage a broad scope of services, including acute illnesses and injuries, pediatrics, occupational medicine, X-rays, and lab services. Providers should be comfortable practicing independently while collaborating with a regional clinical team.
Schedule & Shift Expectations
Clinics operate seven days per week with the following hours:
* Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM
* Saturday & Sunday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Part-time providers are required to work a minimum of 4 shifts per month. Shifts are typically 10-12 hours, depending on clinic needs and day of the week. Schedules are coordinated in advance to support flexibility while ensuring appropriate coverage.
Providers must be able to work occasional weekends and holidays; the frequency of these shifts will depend on facility assignment and scheduling needs.
Providers are assigned a primary (home) clinic at NextCare Urgent Care - Cedar Park (Austin, TX). Occasional floating to nearby NextCare clinics within the Austin market may be required to support coverage needs.
Highly Preferred Qualifications
* At least 1 year of urgent care, ER fast-track, or walk-in clinic experience
* Comfort with initial X-ray interpretation prior to radiologist over-read
* Strong procedural skills, including suturing and minor procedures
* Ability to practice independently in a fast-paced environment

The Patient Care Technician - Health Unit Coordinator handles clerical and patient care tasks under a licensed nurse's supervision.
Essential Functions of the Role
* Collects and records patient data, reporting information to nursing team members promptly. Obtains and records patient vital signs, height, weight, nutritional intake, and output. Performs blood glucose monitoring using finger-stick blood samples, test strips, and portable meters. Performs routine urinary catheter care. Collects and transports specimens, including urine, stool, and sputum, as requested.
* Helps patients with daily activities like hygiene, dressing, eating, and moving. Changes linen as needed. Answers patient call lights and requests quickly. May be assigned as a sitter for patients needing constant observation.

What We Are Looking For
The Residence Hall Director (RHD) is responsible for ensuring student learning, faith development, cultural humility, and self-advocacy are outcomes of the on-campus residential experience. The RHD reports to one of three Assistant Directors for Resident Learning in the office of Campus Living & Learning.

What You Will Do
1. Staff Development
Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate 5-17 undergraduate students (Community Leaders and Community Leader Mentors). In some residence halls, the RHD may supervise one full-time Assistant Residence Hall Director (ARHD) or up to two Graduate Apprentice Residence Hall Directors (GARHD).
In conjunction with the office of Spiritual Life, co-supervise a Truett Seminary graduate student serving as a part-time Resident Chaplain (RC) in the residence hall.
Support and assist in hiring processes for graduate students and full-time staff.
2. Community Development
Establish an authentic Christian community that supports academic excellence, spiritual growth, cultural humility, self-advocacy, and an appreciation for doing life together.
Recruit and advise an in-hall student leadership organization, including but not limited to: leadership development, program planning, and budget oversight.
Coordinate and provide support for the Living Learning Programs and faculty involvement (i.e. Faculty-in- Residence, Faculty Partner, and Faculty Steward).
Engage residents in the greater Baylor University community through utilization of campus facilities, participation in campus events, and promotion of campus activities.
3. Student Development
Develop meaningful relationships with students and maintain a high degree of visibility and availability in the residence hall.
Respond to student behavioral concerns and incidents in the halls.
Implement departmental learning outcomes encompassing concepts such as life together, cultural humility, faith development, intellectual development, and self-advocacy, through intentional conversations and programming within the residence hall.
4. Administrative Responsibilities
Act as liaison with academic partners and Living-Learning Programs.
Participate in an on-call rotation throughout the calendar year to respond to incidents and emergencies, as they occur, for a residential population of approximately 5,400 undergraduate students.
Manage a residence hall front desk, including the supervision of student and/or professional staff.
Manage office supply, minor equipment, and community development budgets for the residence hall.
Participate in admissions events and programs.
Learn and use technology platforms, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite, Persona, CSGold, CBORD, StarRez, Maxient, and other departmental website applications.
5. Facilities Management
Conduct openings, closings, and mid-semester inspections.
Collaborate with campus partners such as Facility Services, Dining Services, Housekeeping, and the Assistant Director of Facilities and Operations, to sustain and improve residence hall environments.
6. Professional Development
Serve on Campus Living & Learning and Student Life committees as well as special projects and opportunities to teach a credited leadership class.
Use professional development funds provided by Campus Living & Learning to engage in opportunities such as reading or writing for professional publications, active membership in a regional or national organization, and attending or presenting at conferences.
Attend Student Life and University professional development opportunities.
Participate in annual departmental professional staff trainings.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree and three years of relevant work experience are required. A combination of education and experience with be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree preferred in College Student Personnel, Higher Education/Student Affairs or related field with full-time or graduate residence life experience. Preference given to candidates with experience being on-call for crisis and emergency response, advising residence hall organizations, and living on campus in a graduate or professional position. An enthusiasm for integrating faith and learning is also preferred.
COMPENSATION:
Starting annual salary is $52,500.00, plus annual professional development funds and excellent university benefits that start on the first date of employment. Tuition remission for some academic programs are available for self and family after completing one year of continuous full-time service. A furnished apartment including cable, internet, and access to a washer and dryer is provided. Additionally, compensation includes a block of 170 meals per semester, free use of the campus recreation facility, laptop, smart phone with unlimited data, free parking, and reserved parking spots for employee and spouse, as well as free admission to athletic events with the exception of football. Position Overview
The purpose of this position is to provide technical assistance and supportive patient care to meet the needs of individual patients throughout assigned areas.
Essential Job Functions
Collect, report, and document clinical data. Take vital signs, height and weight, intake and output, pulse oximetry, and collect specimens
Collect laboratory samples and perform lab testing in accordance with established policies and procedures, as well as COLA and CLIA regulations
Assist with patient activities and care as assigned by the charge nurse/designee as indicated by the patient's plan of care
Provide for superficial wound care
Provide for patient safety related to age and condition
Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality of information and records at all times
Provide and maintain a clean, safe environment and perform and/or assist others to perform proper aseptic technique, isolation procedures, and infection control measures
Assist with the admission, transfer, and discharge of the patient
Other Job Functions
Prepare patients and chaperone during examinations/procedures or assists with other patient treatments
Maintain patient care areas with appropriate supplies
Assist with patient restraints and maintain precautions; collect, report and document data related to patient needs/emergencies and unusual patient and family behavior
Travel to all facility locations as required
Attend staff meetings or other company sponsored or mandated meetings as required
Perform additional duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED, required and completion of one of the following:
Completion of Medical Corpsman program and one year of applicable experience (OR)
Completion of EMT-P (Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic), AEMT (Advanced-EMT), Licensed Paramedic (LP) course/program and one year of applicable experience (OR)
Completion of EMT-B (Emergency Medical Technician-Basic) and 1+ years of emergency room experience as an ER Technician or hospital equivalent experience [Oklahoma, North TX, Wisconsin & Pennsylvania markets only] (OR)
Completion of the first year of education and current enrollment in an accredited School of Nursing and one year of applicable experience (OR)
3+ years of emergency room experience as an ER Technician [2+ years in Pittsburgh market only] (OR)
3+ years as a CNA with relevant hospital experience (Wisconsin market only)
3+ years as a Certified Anesthesia Tech/OR Tech experience (Wisconsin market only)
Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross, required
Current ACLS/ALS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required in most markets.
Exceptions where it is strongly preferred include Pittsburgh, Oklahoma, El Paso, DFW, and Central PA (WellSpan Hospitals)
Wisconsin (required only for EMT-P roles).
Current PALS certifications through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross, strongly preferred
Experience with IV start, phlebotomy, and initiation of EKG, strongly preferred
