Responsibilities
The Medical Assistant - NCT is responsible for performing patient care duties under the Medical Assistant scope of practice in the urgent care setting as follows:
* Performs radiology duties within the scope of practice as stated in NextCare Policies and Procedures, as well as the state appropriate Radiation Rules and Regulations.

This role is ideal for a scientist with a Ph.D. in molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, or a related field, and a strong background in assay development and validation. X-ray Technician Duties

* Operate radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes. * Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure safety of patients and team members

* Maintain all x-ray equipment, including calibration, QA/QC procedures, and record keeping in accordance with current policy and procedures
Medical Support Specialist Duties
* Perform Department of Transportation (DOT) and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing
* Prepare patients for physical examinations, including taking vital signs and any required or requested ancillary testing including but not limited to vaccines and injections, phlebotomy, PFTs, audiogram testing and respirator fit testing
* Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, mono, glucose, etc.)
* Assist providers during examination and treatment
* Responsible for performing routine medical procedures as ordered by treating clinician as well as triaging emergent patients as needed
* Prepare and assist clinician with procedure set up and injury care
