About the Role: We are hiring an Electrical-Mechanical Specialist to support our high-tech manufacturing operations. In this role, you'll work independently and collaboratively to analyze, troubleshoot, and maintain cutting-edge production equipment. You'll also support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives across the plant.
Key Responsibilities
Independently troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild complex electrical/electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance per schedules
Plan and execute tasks efficiently to minimize production downtime
Assist engineering with equipment modifications and project implementations
Calibrate and repair various instrumentation and measuring equipment
Record maintenance activities using our computerized maintenance system
What You Bring
High school diploma required; vocational training or associate degree in electrical/electronic disciplines preferred
Minimum of 3 years; experience in an industrial electrical maintenance role (or 7+ years of experience without formal post-secondary education)
Successful completion of a skills assessment and interview process
Must have own trade tools

Expertise in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical and mechanical systems

Job Description:
Under general supervision, the Seal Repair Technician is responsible for all processes related to disassembly and assembly of rotating equipment. The Seal Repair Technician follows instruction from a Repair job packet and router to perform DCI (Dismantle Clean and Inspect) and gives a written description of the wear and condition of critical components seal.
This position completes all inspection forms taking pictures of all critical components and uses inspection equipment for proper documentation of the assembly. With assistance identifies, inspects and evaluates material returned, determines repair operations, performs simple shop operations, verify specifications, initiate work and purchase orders.
Receives John Crane parts and materials returned by customers and branch offices. Evaluates from a condition of material, checks current drawing revisions and general product knowledge whether material is repairable or non-repairable.
· Identifies and inspects material returned.
· Ensures all components are properly cleaned and free from foreign material per departmental procedures
· Performs the assembly of the seal once the repair has been released to the shop and all components have been replaced or reconditioned and marked ready for assembly.
· Under close supervision, repairs returned seals and seal parts.
· May perform parts structuring, check cost structure, and determine price of repair, ensures assembly is structured correctly, and price repair.
· Determines necessary repair operations, ensures BOM (bill of materials) / drawings / repair parts match.
· Performs simple operations on drill press (single spindle), tool post grinder, bead blast polisher and lapping machine.
· Verifies part specifications with measuring instruments such as micrometer, vernier caliper, dial indicator and optical flats.
· May initiates purchase orders for new jobs if vendors are involved.
· Consults with Engineering or Sales departments as necessary.
· Maintains necessary records and small inventory of seal parts used for repair orders.
· Works from factory work orders, prints, rework orders and verbal instructions.
· Assists newer repair personnel as necessary.
· Sets up and troubleshoots lapping machines for repair maintenance.
· May perform direct contact with customers on service and/or phone, checks computer system for credit and address information, price repairs.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
1-2 years of experience in mechanical assembly positions.
Experience working with mechanical seals is a plus.
Ability to read blueprints a plus.
Attention to detail.
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds manually.
Experience with Microsoft Office.

Essential Duties:
* Install, configure, and maintain industrial automation hardware, including PLC modules, I/O cards, communication networks, and field instrumentation.

Essential Duties:
Install, configure, and maintain industrial automation hardware, including PLC modules, I/O cards, communication networks, and field instrumentation.
Perform advanced troubleshooting on instrumentation loops, control systems, and automation networks to quickly resolve system faults and minimize downtime.
Conduct routine calibration and verification of transmitters, control valves, analyzers, and safety instrumentation to ensure measurement accuracy and compliance.
Execute preventive and predictive maintenance on all instrumentation and control assets using CMMS work order systems.
Support the integration of SCADA system upgrades, network expansions, and communication protocol conversions (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, etc.).
Assist engineering teams in developing and implementing SIL (Safety Integrity Level) and functional safety requirements for critical control systems.
Perform loop checks, I/O verification, and functional testing during system startups, shutdowns, and plant turnarounds.
Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot control valves, actuators, positioners, solenoids, and pneumatic systems for proper operation.
Ensure all instrumentation installations follow NEC, ISA, and NEMA guidelines, with proper wiring, shielding, and environmental protection.
Maintain instrumentation spare parts inventory and recommend upgrades or replacements to enhance system reliability.
Participate in HAZOPs, PSSRs, MOCs, and other process safety activities by providing instrumentation-focused technical expertise.
Support cybersecurity safeguards on automation systems by assisting with patching, network segmentation, and access control procedures.
Document all maintenance activities, calibration records, wiring changes, and control logic modifications for audit readiness and traceability.
Provide 24/7 technical support or on-call coverage during critical operations, outages, or equipment failures as required.
Train operators and maintenance personnel on equipment functionality, proper use of control systems, and safe troubleshooting practices.
Requirements:
EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science in related field of study preferred
EXPERIENCE: 5+ years of experience, Microsoft Server and SQL server experience preferred
