About the Role
We are a leading furniture and office space manufacturing company committed to leveraging cutting-edge technology to optimize our product design, manufacturing processes, and supply chain. We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic QA Manager to unify and lead our core operational technology functions.
This pivotal role will be responsible for creating a unified engineering umbrella (AI-Ops, Data-Ops, and DevOps) to ensure the reliable, scalable, and high-quality deployment of our data-driven products, from factory floor optimization models to office space planning tools.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic & Operational Leadership (Ops Unification)
Lead the unification of DevOps, DataOps, and MLOps under a single, cohesive strategy to streamline end-to-end data and software delivery.
Define and enforce CI/CD pipeline best practices for traditional software and machine learning model deployment, ensuring rapid, reliable, and automated releases.
Drive the selection and implementation of tools and cloud infrastructure to support a scalable, secure, and compliant operational environment.
2. Data and ML Quality Assurance
Implement robust Data Quality checks and governance processes for data flowing into and out of our AI/ML models.
Oversee the automation of quality checks for data integrity and model performance monitoring.
Establish and manage comprehensive regression testing for all core data and ML delivery modules, utilizing frameworks like Playwright and, where necessary, existing tools like UFT for legacy systems integration.
3. Engineering Management & Team Leadership
Manage a high-performing engineering team of 7 direct reports.
Collaborate with 3 shared service team members to ensure infrastructure alignment and security compliance.
Mentor and develop engineering talent, fostering a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
Qualifications
10+ years of progressive experience in software, data, or ML engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership/management role overseeing operational teams.
Deep expertise in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Proven experience integrating DevOps, DataOps, and MLOps principles into a unified framework.
Strong background in automated testing and quality assurance, including experience with modern web/API testing frameworks (e.g., Playwright) and data validation techniques.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders across the organization (e.g., Manufacturing, Product Design).

Compliance & Continuous Improvement

Champion a culture of defect prevention, risk management, and operational excellence across the enterprise.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)
Bachelor's degree is required in Engineering, Quality, or in a related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Advanced degree, MBA or MS is highly preferred.
Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience required; specifically, in quality, mission assurance, or regulatory compliance within the defense, aerospace, or high-reliability manufacturing environment.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role.
Expertise in AS9100, ISO 9001, ITAR, CMMI, and defense quality standards.
Strong background in QMS implementation, supplier quality management, and risk mitigation strategies.
Proven leadership experience managing quality teams and cross-functional initiatives.
Experience with government contracts, DoD requirements, and working with regulatory agencies.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Deep expertise in quality engineering principles (DFMEA,PFMEA, PPAP/APQP, SPC, GD&T, MSA, etc.).
Knowledge of BMS frameworks (ISO 9001, AS9100, or industry equivalent).
Proficiency with quality tools/software (e.g., Minitab, SPC/QMS platforms, PLM, ERP systems).

PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Customer Quality Manager is accountable for the substantial timely management, tracking and coordination of any customer related quality topics in the US. PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Supplier Quality Manager is responsible for leading and managing supplier development and quality assurance activities across a defined supply base. SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
This position will serve as the NextDecade interface with the EPC Contractor, the city of Brownsville and regulatory authorities to provide quality oversight during the execution of the construction, commissioning, startup, and operations for the Rio Grande LNG project. This position is in Brownsville, TX at the RGLNG site. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as Owner's representative and subject matter expert (SME) for LNG Tanks.
Maintain complete accountability for quality oversight of the LNG Tanks, including, but not limited to, the construction, commissioning, initial cool down and start-up. This includes all civil, mechanical (rotating and piping), electrical and controls.
Ensure the EPC contractor and subcontractors deliver the LNG Tanks in accordance withlocal, Federal (e.g., FERC) requirements, RGLNG Project specifications and contractual requirements.
Possess complete understanding of, and act as technical authority for LNG Tank specifications, codes, and standards.
Monitor day-to-day quality activities, including inspection and test plans (ITPs), inspection reports, surveillance data, inspection packages, mechanical completion, system handover and documentation turnover, for accuracy, compliance and completeness.
Ensure welding processes (particularly for 9% Ni steel) comply with contractual requirements, including oversight of personnel performing welding and testing.
Witness and review critical inspection NDE tests (hydro, vacuum box testing, RT, UT, tank settlement monitoring, concrete formwork pours and compression testing, etc.)
Verify installation of insulation, heat tracing, tensioning cables, deluge systems, etc. are performed in accordance with project specifications.
Review contractor's inspection and surveillance reports. Provide feedback as necessary to ensure compliance with specification requirements.
Support EPC contractor by identifying Non-conformances (NCR's), collaborate on Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports, and identify potential Corrective Action Reports (CARs) during systemic issues. Verify that any of these are properly documented, proposed resolutions implemented and closed.
Ensure efficient communication with the EPC Contractor, operational and functional support team members.
Provide thorough and efficient documentation review, comments, and follow-up in a timely manner.
Develop reporting and quality metrics for site and home office management.
Support Engineering, Regulatory and other functions as necessary.
Contribute to the project Lessons Learned database.
Interact with team members from all parties embracing the One Team approach.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering, or equivalent degree.
10+ years of experience working on major oil & gas projects
Knowledge and experience of construction methods of full containment LNG tank construction which includes knowledge of carbon steel, aluminum, and 9% Ni plate erection and welding, roof construction, and hydrotesting.
Understanding specifications, vendor procedures, instructions & codes with working knowledge of API-650, API-620, API-625.
Knowledge of welding processes such as SMAW, FCAW, SAW and the use of Automatic Girth Welders, Down Flat Tractors, and automated isolation machines.
Technical knowledge of LNG tank building equipment and tools.
Knowledge of requirements for cryogenic insulation (e.g., perlite).
Must be proficient in common PC software (MS Word, MS Excel, etc.)
Read, write, and speak fluent English with strong leadership and communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), API 620/653, or equivalent NDE Certifications.
Owner experience, particularly on LNG EPC mega projects.

Review meter factor exceptions monthly and recognize changes/issues.
Audit pipeline and terminal over/short and recognize changes/issues.
Train field personnel on various measurement and quality control policies and practices, including:
