This new Minnesota Nexus PRTF location serves youth ages 10-19 who need a higher level of mental and behavioral health care. Our staff support the treatment, well-being, and personal growth of our youth to contribute to positive outcomes and brighter futures!
Shifts Available:
Day/Evening - Rotation of day and evening shifts (6am-2:30pm and 2pm-10:30pm) including every other weekend
Schedule/Pay/Location:
Full-time, on-site opportunity
Pay Rate: $20.00 - $23.50 per hour

Responsibilities:
Provide mentorship and supervision of resident daily activities and behavior according to established guidelines and procedures
Participate with coworkers as a team on implementation of treatment plans and therapeutic services
Remain cognizant of individual client phases, privileges, restrictions and adapt interactions accordingly
Ensure resident safety and collaborate with coworkers to maintain an environment that is positive, respectful, clean, and therapeutic
Work effectively with clients' families/support networks to reinforce positive family partnerships
Plan and participate in off-campus resident activities and assist in the transportation of clients to home visits, doctor appointments, planned recreational activities
Requirements:
Qualifications;
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Must have a valid driver's license
A desire to work in the human services field & caring for at-risk youth
Physical Demands
Must be able to assist staff in physical interventions and restraints of clients
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time (2-4 hours)
Must be able to twist, bend and stretch in a manner conducive to the execution of daily activities within a residential treatment facility

Position Summary: Our Vice President of Operations provides high-level strategic leadership and operational oversight to our specific Nexus agencies. Our Vice President of Operations will work closely with agency Executive Directors, and develops executes strategies that advance organizational goals, drive innovation, and ensure service excellence. The VP of Operations maintains deep knowledge of each agency's programs, operations, and performance metrics, ensuring alignment with Nexus's clinical and operational priorities. This position is accountable for fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and fiscal responsibility.
Primary responsibilities:
Executive Director Oversight & Leadership
Establishes a healthy organizational culture by role-modeling and reinforcing the organization's values; builds relationships that maintain professionalism, trust, respect, and positive regard.
Directs and oversees the general functioning and excellence of all Nexus core services to include residential treatment and foster care, as well as related ancillary services
Provides direct supervision of Executive Directors and creates opportunities for professional growth, development, and learning; drives performance accountability among agency leadership encouraging the development of future leaders.

Supports the implementation and alignment of clinical and treatment models across Nexus services by reinforcing evidence-informed and outcome driven practices; collaborates with agency leaders to ensure operational structures and strategies effectively enable a culture of clinical excellence.

Operational Risk Mitigation, Safety & Compliance
Collaborate with Executive Directors to produce timely, meaningful reports on employee experience, safety, outcomes, and environmental factors; ensure data is actionable and aligned with organizational priorities.
Partner with Executive Directors to develop operational procedures that identify, report, and manage client and employee risk; establish protocols for continuous improvement and learning.
Lead efforts to meet and exceed expectations for licensing, accreditation, contracts, and grants; assess compliance readiness and drive continuous improvement.
Work with Executive Directors to expand services, foster innovation, and identify strategic business development opportunities; integrate operational and clinical practices for sustainability.
Support agency growth initiatives, including expansion, mergers, affiliations, and new program development; approve project lead assignments for successful execution.
Assume leadership assignments unique to Home Office leaders; participate in agency and Home Office activities and assume duties of COO or other leaders as needed.
Philanthropic and Community Stewardship
Help Executive Directors build community partnerships and lead effective board/advisory meetings.
Assist in leading effective board meetings or advisory meetings as applicable and attend external meetings of importance with the Executive Director.
Identify fundraising goals and opportunities; approve strategic use of funds and grants.
Approve strategic projects for the use of fundraising dollars and the application of or use of grants.
Approve external community events to support, and external leadership opportunities for Executive Director to engage.
Requirements:
Required Education and Licensure:
Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or other Clinical/Human Services related field with licensing preferred
Minimum of 10 years of experience working in organizations serving children/adolescents and families
Minimum of 8 years in the mental health, behavioral health or healthcare environment
Minimum of 5 years in upper management positions with demonstrated expertise in operational, program, and clinical management
Minimum of 3 years of experience directly operating a youth residential treatment facility or a mental health inpatient related program
Valid driver's license required. Must meet state regulating agency and Nexus Home Office driving requirements
Preferred Education and Experience:
Applicable licensure in a human service or clinical related field preferred
Business/leadership development certificate preferred
10+ years operational leadership experience in a mental health related field
Travel Requirement:
Travel up to 50 percent of the time required via air and ground transportation

Position Summary: The Parent Partner provides active, hands-on, trauma-informed, and family-guided peer support to parents of youth receiving services while collaborating with families, team members, and service providers. The Parent Partner's role is to increase family involvement within the program, connecting families to formal and informal resources, and advocating for families to decrease unintentional, programmatic, and institutional bias toward caregivers.
Primary responsibilities:
Family, Caregiver and Treatment Facilitation
Manages and coordinates positive family involvement in the treatment process using trauma-informed, strength-based, and client-driven engagement techniques.
Creates community relationships to enhance resource and referral opportunities.
Connects with all families entering the program to engage and build involvement.
Participates in the initial family information-gathering and assessment process to help identify needs and assist in the development of treatment goals.
Client Advocacy
Works with families, caregivers, and treatment team members and all informal and formal supports to assist and support individualized family plans and treatment goals during and post-treatment.
Attends and participates in a variety of meetings to help support and advocate for the well-being, needs and resources for caregivers and youth.
Provides and assists with ongoing advocacy for families during the treatment process and with other providers involved in the family's life. Role models skills and provides coaching so families can learn to advocate for themselves.
Delivers consultation and training to treatment team members to enhance the delivery of family-driven care and positive family engagement techniques.
Family and Client Liaison
Provides parent skill-building education, consultation, and role modeling; leads/co-leads parent support groups.
Acts as a resource for families and responds to family crises in a prompt, effective, and collaborative manner.
May coordinate and conduct family-finding activities to help youth establish a strong support network and support permanency as needed.
Submits timely documentation in the electronic health record regarding work with families.
Facilitates the linking of youth and families with appropriate community services, and follow-ups.
Meets with the family and youth (virtually or in-person) as determined and prescribed by the treatment plan and family's engagement level.
Requirements:
Required Education and Licensure:
High School diploma or equivalent, and must be at least 21 years of age.
Must have prior experience as the primary parent or caregiver of a child with emotional, behavioral, or mental health challenges.
Must have experience with children's mental health systems such as DHS, DOC, social services, probation, or the Department of Mental Health.
Completion of a successful background check.
Currently have or be willing and able to successfully complete the Department of Human Services-approved Certified Family Peer Specialist Training and certificate exam.
Valid driver's license required. Must meet state regulating agency and Home Office driving requirements
Preferred Education and Experience:
College coursework in the behavioral/mental health field.
Experience working with families and trauma-exposed children or adolescents.

Nexus-Mille Lacs offers trauma-informed, family-centered, nationally recognized treatment for boys, ages 10-19, with significant mental health issues and harmful sexual behaviors. Position Summary: The Nurse (RN) promotes the health and well-being to Nexus Family Healing residents by providing client-centered health care services, in accordance with Nexus Family Healing policies, procedures, and protocols.
Pay and Schedule:
Full-time; Typically 8am-5pm (can be flexible) with occasional on-call

Primary responsibilities:
Resident Medical Care
Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams regarding medical aspects of client admissions.
Communicates medical concerns and coordinates necessary follow-up appointments, and/or referrals with interdisciplinary teams both internally and externally.
Collects and reviews clients' medical data and ensures that medical records are current and accurate.
Assesses nursing implications of all data pertaining to the resident and determines the need to communicate with the physician.
Monitors acute and chronic medical conditions of clients; provides treatment or consultation as needed.
In emergency situations, gather relevant information and assess client status. Provide appropriate care and/or treatment, direct others as necessary, and collaborate referral to a higher-level of care if appropriate.
Treatment Team Collaboration
Serves as a resource to staff and other interdisciplinary teams regarding client medical concerns.
Collaborates with the treatment staff to develop individual client treatment plans.
Implement, monitor, and coordinate medication administration to clients
Verify, count, and administer medications to residents.
Educates clients on medication side effects, adverse effects, and drug interactions.
Monitors clients daily for side effects, adverse effects, and/or drug interactions.
Ensures client prescriptions are filled and the appropriate amount is maintained through each client's stay within the residential milieu.
Monitors medication logbooks for completion and accuracy.
Staff Meetings & Required Training
Completes all required trainings that are department/role specific & facility-wide requirements.
Maintains and stay up to date with trainings and certifications (i.e., online trainings, internal and external in-person trainings, CPR certification, nursing license, first aid and safety, medication administration, and infection control etc.
Participates in internal training opportunities with community partners.
Client Confidentiality
Ensures client information remains confidential and compliant with Nexus policies involving client privacy, informed consent and confidentiality standards for clients and their families.
Requirements:
Required Education and Licensure:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Valid Registered Nurse License.
1 + year related nursing experience
First Aid/CPR/Infection Control certification
Valid driver's license required. Must meet state regulating agency and Home Office driving requirements
Preferred Education and Experience:
1+ year related nursing experience in a residential setting.
