Position Summary: Our Vice President of Operations provides high-level strategic leadership and operational oversight to our specific Nexus agencies. Our Vice President of Operations will work closely with agency Executive Directors, and develops executes strategies that advance organizational goals, drive innovation, and ensure service excellence. The VP of Operations maintains deep knowledge of each agency's programs, operations, and performance metrics, ensuring alignment with Nexus's clinical and operational priorities. This position is accountable for fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and fiscal responsibility.
Primary responsibilities:
Executive Director Oversight & Leadership
Establishes a healthy organizational culture by role-modeling and reinforcing the organization's values; builds relationships that maintain professionalism, trust, respect, and positive regard.
Directs and oversees the general functioning and excellence of all Nexus core services to include residential treatment and foster care, as well as related ancillary services
Provides direct supervision of Executive Directors and creates opportunities for professional growth, development, and learning; drives performance accountability among agency leadership encouraging the development of future leaders.
Holds Executive Directors accountable for achieving revenue targets (census and billable services), meeting strategic initiative milestones, and delivering measurable outcomes; ensures alignment with organizational priorities and timely execution of operational goals.
Interacts with, includes, and respects individuals from diverse backgrounds and promotes and supports the principles of diversity throughout the organization; treats all individuals with dignity and respect while exhibiting compassion.
Operational Collaboration, Integration & Planning
Actively participate in strategic planning to develop relevant, measurable goals aligned with the organization's vision and mission.
Demonstrate strong fiscal understanding; hold Executive Directors accountable for sound budgeting, responding to forecasts, and achieving financial targets; proactively facilitate adjustments to improve efficiency and sustainability.
Participate in recruiting, selection, and training of agency leadership, consultants, and partners; engage staff in planning, decision-making, and process improvement.
Foster a culture of philanthropy, community involvement, advocacy, and partnership; ensure agency-level community presence and represent Nexus at key events and conferences.
Collaborates with other departments to establish and implement Nexus Home Office-led initiatives; proactively informs and educates Executive Directors on when and how to engage with Home Office teams, ensuring they understand relevant procedures, expectations, and points of contact.
Supports the implementation and alignment of clinical and treatment models across Nexus services by reinforcing evidence-informed and outcome driven practices; collaborates with agency leaders to ensure operational structures and strategies effectively enable a culture of clinical excellence.
Communicate effectively in oral and written form; facilitate open dialogue and clearly define performance expectations. .
Operational Risk Mitigation, Safety & Compliance
Collaborate with Executive Directors to produce timely, meaningful reports on employee experience, safety, outcomes, and environmental factors; ensure data is actionable and aligned with organizational priorities.
Partner with Executive Directors to develop operational procedures that identify, report, and manage client and employee risk; establish protocols for continuous improvement and learning.
Lead efforts to meet and exceed expectations for licensing, accreditation, contracts, and grants; assess compliance readiness and drive continuous improvement.
Work with Executive Directors to expand services, foster innovation, and identify strategic business development opportunities; integrate operational and clinical practices for sustainability.
Support agency growth initiatives, including expansion, mergers, affiliations, and new program development; approve project lead assignments for successful execution.
Assume leadership assignments unique to Home Office leaders; participate in agency and Home Office activities and assume duties of COO or other leaders as needed.
Philanthropic and Community Stewardship
Help Executive Directors build community partnerships and lead effective board/advisory meetings.
Assist in leading effective board meetings or advisory meetings as applicable and attend external meetings of importance with the Executive Director.
Identify fundraising goals and opportunities; approve strategic use of funds and grants.
Approve strategic projects for the use of fundraising dollars and the application of or use of grants.
Approve external community events to support, and external leadership opportunities for Executive Director to engage.
Requirements:
Required Education and Licensure:
Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or other Clinical/Human Services related field with licensing preferred
Minimum of 10 years of experience working in organizations serving children/adolescents and families
Minimum of 8 years in the mental health, behavioral health or healthcare environment
Minimum of 5 years in upper management positions with demonstrated expertise in operational, program, and clinical management
Minimum of 3 years of experience directly operating a youth residential treatment facility or a mental health inpatient related program
Valid driver's license required. Must meet state regulating agency and Nexus Home Office driving requirements
Preferred Education and Experience:
Applicable licensure in a human service or clinical related field preferred
Business/leadership development certificate preferred
10+ years operational leadership experience in a mental health related field
Travel Requirement:
Travel up to 50 percent of the time required via air and ground transportation

Nexus Family Healing is looking to hire a Facilities Operations Coordinator to join our newest youth crisis and stabilization center set to open in fall 2025 in Hennepin County!
This new youth crisis and stabilization center is a 13-bed, short-term residential service is for Hennepin County youth with complex mental and behavioral health issues looking for appropriate care. The service will help to reduce the number of youth who are stuck in inappropriate care settings such as emergency rooms, police stations, juvenile detention or unstable home situations and provide treatment and therapeutic supports while triage, assessment, and transition planning take place with families.

Position Summary: Assist in maintaining the appearance, structure and safety of the academy's buildings, vehicles, and grounds, as well as perform general facility maintenance tasks. Teach maintenance and renovation skills to residents at sites where vocation training programs are in place.
Primary responsibilities:
Maintain physical plant and grounds.
Inspect building structure for safety problems and notify supervisor of results of inspections.
Mow lawns, cut shrubbery, rake leaves, shovel snow, and perform landscaping duties.
Complete work orders and related reports and submit to supervisor.
If necessary, secure the building and storage areas at the end of each working day.
Maintain facility vehicles
Perform basic automotive maintenance on vehicles, such as replace wiper blades, tire repair/replacement and ensure that proper fluid levels are maintained on all vehicles.
Ensure vehicles are checked for performance and maintenance needs.
Maintain a log of when vehicles are due for preventative maintenance checks and ensure routine services schedules are followed; record all maintenance repairs completed on each vehicle.
Monitor vehicles storage and coordinate vehicle cleaning.
Maintain furniture and equipment
Move furniture and furnishing and notify supervisor regarding needed repairs and/or other facility problems. b. Perform furniture repair and refinishing when appropriate.
Maintain on-site storage areas.
Assist in construction and/or repair projects for the physical plant
Under supervision, assist in projects that may involve painting, carpet, or linoleum installation.
Assist in repairing heating system, broken faucets/sinks, heating and water chiller, and AC systems as assigned.
Identify problems in the emergency power and generator systems and in the fire alarm systems through routine inspection, report findings to supervisor.
Troubleshoot equipment to assess problem and recommend plan of action.

Remains current on all fire, safety, and maintenance codes for the facility; adheres to department procedures and policies; remains current on all required training and certifications.

Requirements:
Required Education and Licensure:

Position Summary:
Our Milieu Supervisor is responsible to provide trauma-informed milieu leadership and mentorship in the treatment guidance plans through effective communication, organization, and planning of the daily operations of the program and assigned unit.
Primary responsibilities:
Assists in the development of program procedures and systems that contribute to efficient, safe, and effective delivery of treatment services to clients and their families
Participates as a multi-disciplinary team member in developing and implementing client treatment plans and interventions
Initiates, identifies, and analyzes potential or current problems or risk factors on the program and generates alternative solutions
Ensures that new admissions are entering into a safe and welcoming environment and all admission milieu needs of the youth and family are met
Assists in the planning and scheduling of trauma-informed daily treatment services
Monitors the delivery of treatment services to clients for proper follow-through within the program and to ensure family inclusion and communication
Tracks the daily needs of youth related to clothing, dietary needs, court/treatment plan/referral source meetings, family time and contact
Interviews and hires new youth care professional staff members
Provides on the job coaching, training, and mentoring to staff
Prepares assigned staff work schedules and approves staff timecards
Ensures that staff are performing their assigned duties and interacting with clients in a calm, therapeutic, and trauma-informed manner
Coordinates and ensures that all shift related client and staff documentation is completed
Provides direct floor coverage during staff absences, emergencies and for on-call coverage, as needed
Requirements:
Required Education and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in a related industry
Minimum of one (1) year supervisory experience required

As a Behavioral Health Practitioner, you will:
Support and reinforce the therapeutic plan of clients by providing guidance and direction to residents in their daily living activities

Position Summary: Our Admissions and Transitions Coordinator coordinates ongoing therapeutic services and community support necessary to ensure clients can receive stabilization care.
Primary responsibilities:
Client Consultation & Treatment Planning
Assists clients in linking to services, identifying barriers, and connecting with supports prior to discharge.

Hope House opened in 2015. It is a six-bed, short-term emergency shelter for youth ages 14 -19 who are experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, homelessness.? It is the only youth shelter located west of Highway 100 in the greater Twin Cities. ?

Nexus Onarga provides boys ages 10 to 20 years old a structured, homelike environment where they can safely address a variety of unhealthy behaviors and mental health issues as well as childhood trauma.

Nexus-Woodbourne Family Healing is seeking a Milieu Lead who excels at mentoring and coaching, inspires team collaboration, and fosters a positive, growth-oriented environment for staff and clients.
Position Summary
The Milieu Lead is responsible for leading and ensuring that the daily programming of the milieu is carried out in a safe and productive manner by leading the shift, providing mentoring and coaching of team members, ensuring effective interventions are implemented, supporting and ensuring that all care professionals are proactively following youth Individual and Family Guidance Plans and that the team is working toward youth treatment goals and supporting a trauma-informed milieu environment.
Pay range: $21-$23 per hour
In addition to the base pay rate, employees are eligible for:
$1.00/hour added to base pay rate, after achieving and providing proof of the RCYCP certification
$2.00/hour for each hour worked in the diagnostic (DETP) program
$0.20/hour weekend shift differential for each hour worked on the weekend (defined as Friday at 10:00pm through Sunday at 10:29pm)
Primary responsibilities:
Trauma Informed Care
Serves as a mentor and role model for Youth Care Professionals by following trauma-informed practices.
Ensures client safety and collaborates with co-workers to maintain an environment that is positive, respectful, clean, and therapeutic.
Regularly assists in training and development processes for new Youth Care Professionals.
Leads the shift and ensures that all related daily shift activities occur as planned; coordinates daily decision-making and problem-solving as needed during the shift.
Counted as part of the staff/client ratio and performs all duties of a Youth Care Professional.
Leads and directs youth daily routine and coordinates changes and the deployment of staff in order to meet youth and milieu needs.
Milieu Leadership & Coordination
Watches over the milieu culture and instills interventions for the establishment of a healthy, safe, and effective residential culture.
Assumes a leadership role among Youth Care Professionals to support trauma work in the milieu.
Participates in the planning and implementation of trauma-informed, strengths-based treatment plans, restorative approaches, and therapeutic services.
Mentors and coaches other Youth Care Professionals on ways they can better respond to situations in alignment with the agency's treatment philosophy and the individual guidance plan.
Provides in the moment feedback in the milieu and intervene and/or redirect all Youth Care Professionals interactions that are not within the trauma response framework.
Agency Policy & Procedure
Leads staff in ensuring compliance with all emotional and physical safety policies and procedures involving living areas, buildings, campus grounds, and while attending off-campus activities.
Coaches and mentors Youth Care Professionals to increase and enhance de-escalation skills and reduce the need for physical restraints.
Takes an active role in establishing and maintaining a work environment consistent with the agency standards and organizational values; carries out the vision of the agency and program leadership in supporting staff and youth.
Works effectively with client families and/or support networks to reinforce positive partnerships, engagement and involvement techniques.
Remains cognizant of clients' individual guidance plans and their individual needs while providing in the moment coaching and mentoring for optimal interactions and relationship building.
Collaborates with the clinical team to address concerns, strengths, and recommendations to the Individual and Family guidance plans.
Responsible to ensure that key communications have been completed related to significant events according to best-practice and policy.
Compliance & Licensing
Ensures compliance with licensing, regulatory and accreditation bodies during scheduled shifts.
Complies with all documentation and standards in a timely manner and ensures the completion of all documentation and shift duties are completed by the end of the shift.
Conducts debriefing activities with Youth Care Professionals and youth regarding significant events in order to provide continuous quality improvement as needed.
Provides ongoing encouragement and verbal recognition of Youth Care Professionals, while also providing feedback about Youth Care Professionals' work performance on formal evaluations and for the purpose of employee development as necessary.
Attends all staff meetings and remains current on all company policies, assigned trainings and/or certification requirements.
Required Education, Experience and Licensure:
High School Diploma or equivalent and some previous work experience.
Valid driver's license required. Maintains state regulating agency and company driving requirements.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Associate degree or bachelor's degree in a social work, psychology, or clinically related field preferred.
2 years previous residential and youth mental health experience strongly preferred.

Nexus Family Healing is looking to hire a Clinical Supervisor to join our newest youth crisis and stabilization center set to open in fall 2025 in Hennepin County!
This new youth crisis and stabilization center is a 13-bed, short-term residential service is for Hennepin County youth with complex mental and behavioral health issues looking for appropriate care. The service will help to reduce the number of youth who are stuck in inappropriate care settings such as emergency rooms, police stations, juvenile detention or unstable home situations and provide treatment and therapeutic supports while triage, assessment, and transition planning take place with families.

Position Summary: The Clinical Supervisor oversees, leads, and develops staff and manages daily operations within the service area, through effective leadership, communication, organization, and planning. This role is responsible for collaboratively meeting budgeted census projections while providing leadership to the Clinical team.
Primary responsibilities
Clinical Planning & Service Delivery
Develops, implements, and maintains operational and clinical policies, procedures and systems that support efficient and effective delivery of services to clients per Nexus guidelines.
Fosters a trauma-informed care environment; responsible for establishing and maintaining a positive clinical culture and identifying and implementing necessary changes to ensure success.
Advances daily decisions, problem-solves, and provides hands-on direction of all staff; works collaboratively with staff to monitor the healthy functioning of the clinical environment.
Contributes to the creation of and implementation of the organization and agency's vision and strategic initiatives; guides assigned staff in working toward and achieving the agency's goals and objectives.
Continuously monitors client treatment and proactively implements improvements and enhancements as warranted; identifies and analyzes potential or current opportunities and risk factors within the service area.
Collaborates with service leadership in evaluating long-term strategic changes that support the clinical process.
Clinical Strategy
In collaboration with CQI (Quality), assesses and interprets service and performance data; identifies client and service trends, risk, outcomes, and compliance opportunities.
Maintains accountability and oversight of clinical processes, team performance, and service outcomes; may provide direct, individual, family, and group therapies to clients when applicable.
Facilitates the engagement, collaboration, questions and concerns of client and families.
Understands the training needs of the service area and agency; collaborates with Nexus home office in ensuring staff attend and participate in required trainings.
Regularly assesses and reviews staff performance and functioning, client needs, and service requirements.
Service & Treatment Plans
Participates in the evaluation of prospective clients; ensures staff readiness and understanding of service area expectations.
Oversees the development and implementation of service and treatment plans.
Ensures client assessments are conducted, per established standards and guidelines.
Understands and abides by necessary licensing requirements and guidelines.
Ensures reports and records documentation are produced accurately and maintained in a consistent, timely, confidential, and professional manner.
Employee Selection, Training & Performance Evaluation
Actively participates in the interviewing and hiring process; orients, mentors, trains, and develops staff with organizational and licensing guidelines, and ensures the process is consistently and effectively administered.
Monitors and facilitates the development of staff skills regarding service and treatment plans and the preparation and maintenance of client documentation.
Provides performance feedback to staff on an ongoing basis and conducts formal, performance evaluations that provide meaningful, constructive, positive, and developmental performance feedback.
Models, supports, and provides mentorship on the Nexus philosophy and treatment modalities.
Consults with Human Resources regarding employee corrective action or performance improvement opportunities.
Staff Monitoring & Service Area Policy
Ensures confidentiality regarding client background and treatment; complies with Nexus policies involving client privacy, boundaries, and confidentiality.
Demonstrates compassion and understanding for feelings, opinions, and experiences of others, and communicates and interacts in a manner that is honest, positive, respectful, and professional.
Adheres to and monitors compliance with safety and health codes and procedures for staff, clients, and the facility; identifies areas of opportunities within health and safety compliance.
Regularly conducts inspections of service areas and reviews the client records; responds to and resolves health and safety concerns within a reasonable time frame.
Demonstrates acceptance and respectfulness of clients and coworkers toward diversity including gender, race, age, culture, ethnicity, class, religion, sexual preference, disability, and gender identity.
Participates in the development and accountability of the budget.
Requirements:
Required Education and Licensure
Master's degree in Social Services, Social Work, Clinical Counseling, Psychology, or clinically related field required.
Must obtain or be working toward licensure as LGSW, LISW, LAMFT, LPC.
Experience in adolescent, adult, and family-based behavioral counseling and/or clinical experience required.
Valid driver's license required. Must meet state regulating agency and Home Office driving requirements
Must have the ability to build strong relationships with diverse individuals or communities and understand their unique needs and challenges.
Must be open to meeting the cultural needs of individuals or communities, considering factors such as language, traditions, and values.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Five (5) years' experience in adolescent, adult, and family-based behavioral counseling and/or residential experience preferred.
Two (2) years supervisory experience preferred.
Licensure preferred.
