Plant Quality Technician
Responsible for executing corporate and plant specific Food Safety, Quality and Laboratory requirements. The QA Technician reports to QA Manager. In the absence of the Quality Assurance Technician, the QA Manager or designate will assume the job duties.

* Ensure all parameters of food safety and quality are being adhered to and maintained throughout the facility.
* Assist with batching chemicals/ingredients for production.
* Calibrate lab and line equipment for accurate results.
* Collect in-process and finished product samples.
* Conduct standardized qualitative and quantitative testing to ensure it meets specifications.
* Perform aseptic testing for microbial contamination.
* Follow protocols for documenting testing results.
* Recognize deficiencies and initiate proper follow-up.

Kings Island is seeking a Fiberglass Technician to perform highquality fiberglass repair, fabrication, and finishing work across the entire park, including rides, theming, dcor, vehicles, and all waterpark (Soak City) attractions and features. This role ensures that all fiberglass assets remain safe, durable, and visually outstanding for our guests.
Responsibilities:
Perform fiberglass repairs, fabrication, laminating, and refinishing on ride components, slides, water features, props, signage, vehicles, and theming throughout both Kings Island and Soak City Water Park.
Inspect fiberglass assets for cracks, wear, delamination, fading, leaks, and structural concerns; recommend repair methods and timelines.
Prepare surfaces through sanding, grinding, cutting, filling, and shaping to ensure proper bonding and quality finishes.
Mix and apply resins, catalysts, epoxies, fillers, and gel coats according to specifications and safety standards.
Work from technical drawings, repair guides, and verbal instructions to execute accurate, efficient repairs.
Maintain tools, PPE, work areas, and equipment in safe, organized condition and follow all OSHA, waterpark, and park safety procedures.
Support seasonal projects, operational downtime, water slide rehabilitation, emergency repairs, and special assignments as needed.

Qualifications:
Experience in fiberglass repair, auto body, marine repair, or composite materials (water slide or waterpark fiberglass experience a plus).

Purpose Statement

Assist R&D personnel to test and commercialize new products or changes to existing products, collect and send process data and product samples.
Demonstrate high moral character and ethics. Adheres to company codes of conduct and does not engage in gossip or workplace drama.
Initiates holds of ingredients or finished products that do not meet Rich's product safety or quality requirements.
Keeps informed of latest manufacturing technologies, systems, and quality control practices. Maintains a comprehensive understanding of all products manufactured by the plant as well as the raw materials, packaging materials, and operations required in the manufacturing process including quality specifications and standards.
Participates in QA/TPM meetings to discuss quality and sanitation issues and opportunities for continuous improvement.

Act as backup to Quality Floor Technician for vacation and weekend coverage on a regular basis.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Degree in Biology, Food Science, Food Technology or related field; or five plus years' quality assurance experience in a food processing, pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing industry; or a combination in experience and education
Demonstrated knowledge and application of quality assurance techniques and tools and quality management principles in a food manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated knowledge of efficient and safe manufacturing operations to include GMPs, HACCP, product and associate safety, and product quality.

Create C of C documentation for customer shipments when required. Maintain a copy of all documentation in the C of C digital database
Maintain key measuring and quality test equipment including, but not limited to calipers, mics, etc. Order supplies and replacement parts necessary to maintain equipment
Assure quality inspection station(s) are cleaned and organized daily after completing inspections.

STRUCTURE
The Quality Technician II reports to the Quality Supervisor. The Quality Technician II has no direct reports. The Quality Technician II will be the quality point of contact for Production/Warehouse staff.
RESPONSIBILITY
Quality Control
Provides support to the Quality Supervisor for various tests & inspections and other work as required.
Implement Quality Control Plans (i.e. inspection plans) during manufacturing, initiating appropriate action for non-conformances including production hold, stop ship or recalls.
Implementing continuous improvement by addressing and discussing issues and solutions with Stakeholders.
Identifying and resolving workflow and production issues.
Understands material, construction, and quality requirements for different product/material types and provides or facilitates disposition to facility staff about acceptability of items.
Leads improvement of the methods used to perform various inspections & tests
Performs Regulatory testing of Products/Materials
Schedules, plans, and conducts annual, quarterly, and lot inspection and testing of regulated products as required. This includes tests such as visual and dimensional measurement, buoyancy and over-pressure testing, etc.
Material/Product Incoming Quality Control
Schedules, plans, and completes Material receiving, inspection/testing and FAI ensuring conformance with requirements and purchase specifications.
Schedules, plans, and completes Customer Returns receiving and inspection/testing ensuring conformance with requirements.
Non-Conformance and Corrective Action
Investigate, document, analyse, and disposition non-conformances. Initiate investigation, determine and complete corrective and preventative actions to prevent recurrence.
Work directly with Stakeholders to resolve issues and prevent their recurrence.
Calibration
Maintains and controls inspection and testing equipment as per the quality procedures.
Ensures measuring equipment is calibrated or verified at specified intervals, or prior to use, against measurement standards traceable to international or national measurement standards.
Quality Records
Maintains quality records and generates Product Certificate of Conformity (CoC) documentation.
Supports the documentation of business processes in the form of Work Instructions/Forms.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent, or combination of relevant work/school,
Technical Diploma is an asset.
Extensive knowledge of Quality Assurance and Quality Control systems and concepts.
Experience conducting technical conformance reviews of products and processes.
3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing Quality role or a similar field.
ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) certification is an asset.
