Project Technician

NIFCO in Shelbyville, KY is looking for an outgoing, energetic detailed oriented Project Technician that is a positive, hardworking individual that will be responsible for full processing of all pre-production orders, delivering information and resolving issues in an accurate and timely manner, while supporting good relationships with both internal and external customers. This person must be professional with excellent customer service skills and must be organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

 Job Summary


 Responsible for full processing of all pre-production orders, delivering information and resolving issues in an accurate and timely manner, while supporting good relationships with both internal and external customers.


 Essential Functions

 Pulls all pre-production parts for trial orders/requests (TTC orders, pre-production trial orders, production trial orders)
 </li>
 <li>
 Utilities Customer Service functions in Oracle to key in/book TTC orders.
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinates with Receiving/Shipping to get production level parts, components, materials for orders
 </li>
 <li>
 Moves pre-production parts from “trial-area” to pre-production area
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinates shipment of material to tool shops as directed by Project Engineering
 </li>
 <li>
 Assembles pre-production parts and packing parts in pre-defined packaging for shipments
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinates shipping pre-production orders audited in time to meet shipping deadlines
 </li>
 <li>
 Controls inventory in pre-production area
 </li>
 <li>
 Inputs inventory into Oracle as needed. Coordinates with PC/Shipping/Receiving for material transfers
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist MFG trial tech during in-house trials if swing-gate/material insert molding is needed
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist MFG/PC as needed for utility assignments
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist PE with scanning/filing paperwork
 </li>
