Overview
Perform the night audit operations to ensure the maintenance of financial controls, and compliance with hotel standards. Coordinate with other departments (i.e. Security, Housekeeping) to ensure quality service is provided to all guests.
Compensation: $27.25
Responsibilities
+ Prepare daily Restaurant Revenue Report data by auditing Point of Service tapes/journals to breakdown revenue, covers, waiters' fees, tips paid out and settlements by type and cashier.
+ Run audit reports/journals from the front office system, Point of Service and the computer.
+ Make corrections and adjustments and handle all computer problems that might occur throughout the shift.
+ Input into the front office system revenue/expenses/allowances to generate the daily reports such as the Guest Ledger Summary and the Daily Restaurant Summary.
+ Balance all revenue and settlement accounts nightly, maintain files and reset the system for next day operations.
+ Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
+ Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
+ Hotel experience preferred.
+ Basic mathematical skills and ability to make accurate mathematical calculations using a 10-key.
+ Ability to effectively deal with guest and associate concerns in a friendly and positive manner.
+ Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
+ Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public etc.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Greet and welcome guests upon arrival. Register guests into the computer, verifying reservation, address, and credit information. Promote the Hotel's Rewards Program and provide recognition and benefits to all present members.
Accept payment for guests' accounts both at the time of registration and at checkout. Maintain a house bank and make a deposit and accurate report of receipts daily. Cash checks and exchange currency for guests.
Issue key to and control entrance of safety deposit boxes. Post miscellaneous charges as requested.
Arrive at workplace on time in full uniform prepared with tools and all equipment needed for service. Review current day's expected arrivals and check all VIP and special request reservations to ensure that they are pre-registered, blocked properly and other departments are notified of room assignment. Review the daily room availability and inform staff. Check status of departures on a daily basis. Relay all pertinent information to front desk agents, telecommunications, the following shift supervisor, and the Front Office Manager.
Ensure all necessary reports and forms are completed daily.
Reconcile and complete all daily front desk agents' work.

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent education/experience required.
• Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred. Lightspeed knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities
Greet, assist and register guests upon arrival into the computer system, verifying reservation information
Respond to guest needs, special requests and complaints. Communicate all guests needs to next shift
Verify that all charges (room rates, discounts, etc.) are assigned to the appropriate departments/guest accounts
Prints up and files reservations for the next business day
Prepare daily reports as required by management
Check figures, postings and documents for accuracy
Prepare End of Day procedure
Balance the day’s charges, making any corrections as necessary
