Summary:
The Night Auditor is responsible for the overnight audit process and accounting functions such as daily reporting of revenues and accounts payables, transaction audits and verifications, and preparation of final statements for the next day's check-outs. They may also perform reception duties for late-night guests.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Check front office accounting records for accuracy summarize information for the hotel's financial records
Track room revenue, occupancy percentages, and other front office operating statistics
Prepare a summary of cash, check, and credit card activities reflecting the hotel's financial performance for the day
Post room charges and room taxes to guest accounts including guest transactions not posted during the day by the front office cashier
Process guest charges voucher and credit card vouchers
Transfer charges and deposits to master accounts
Check to see that all charges are assigned to the appropriate departments
Verify that all transactions performed at the front desk are supported by documentary evidence and signatures
Print and file reservations for the next business day
Monitor the current status of coupon, discount, and other promotional programs
Perform check-ins and check-outs as well as wake-up calls
Summarize results of operations for management
Balance the days charges, making corrections as necessary
Respond to guest needs, special requests, and complaints
Additional tasks may be assigned at any given time
Requirements
Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent
Minimum one (1) year of hotel front desk experience
Understand basic principles of auditing, balancing, and closing out accounts
Know how to operate front office equipment
Experience handling cash, accounting procedures, and general administrative tasks.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. and sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time.

Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated individuals to join our Front Desk team as a Night Auditor. • Input onto the PC revenue/expenses/allowances to generate the daily reports such as the Guest Ledger Summary and the Daily Restaurant Summary.
• Balance all revenue and settlement accounts nightly, maintain files and reset the system for next day operations.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities asked by the Controller and the Assistant Controller based upon department needs.
• Ensure all reports and back-up vouchers are complete and filed properly.
• Ensure all necessary copies of documents/back-up and reports of daily work are distributed to the proper person (i.e. A/R, A/P, and Payroll).
• Review and correct discrepancies in the Front Desk System.

Ensure all resident/guest needs are met throughout their stay. Engage guests in a gracious and professional manner as they come in contact with the guest reception area.
Assist and ensure effective resident/guest challenge resolution. Work closely with fellow guest service associates and other departments to resolve any challenges; ensure follow-through and exceed guest whenever possible.
Accurately input resident/guest contact information. Add information to guest history such as; previous stay experience, special occasions, preferences, and other pertinent information.
Ensure all billing and financial transactions are accurately and efficiently executed on behalf of guests before, during and after their stay.
Make suggestions for improvements in overall operations with an emphasis on increasing guest satisfaction, revenue and reducing costs.
Participate in and support Blue Sky's efforts towards sustainability and environmental initiatives.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the Guest Services Manager or another manager.

Required Qualifications
A genuine affinity for interacting meaningfully and positively with Lodge teammates.
Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with colleagues and management to their understanding.
Self-confidence and leadership skills
Minimum two years as a Concierge or Guest Services Associate at a luxury resort
Excellent service, etiquette, and protocol skills and knowledge.
Familiarity with Northern Utah (particularly the Park City/Summit County area), its geography, recreation opportunities, restaurants, events, sights, and other places of interest
Ability to clearly communicate in English with guests, employees, owners, and management both orally and in writing.
Ability to handle multiple tasks seamlessly, prioritizing with utmost care for the guest experience, including balancing operating computer programs, in-person guest needs, and professional telephone interaction.
Ability to think critically and solve problems as they arise
Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.

Summary:
