Full-time Description
Budget Car and Truck Rental of Utah is seeking a NightAuditor to work our overnight shift. The nightauditor is responsible for managing all overnight operations at our international airport location. Including processing customer transactions, opening and closing contracts as well as extending contracts, and maintaining accurate records.
This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent customer service skills, the ability to work independently, and proficiency in handling customer inquiries and/or grievances.

Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Assist customers with rental return and rental processes, address inquiries, and resolve any issues that arise during the night shift.
Inventory Management:
Monitor and manage inventory of rental vehicles, including logging vehicle returns and checking for damage and cleanliness.
Data Entry:
Enter and update customer information, rental agreements, and other relevant data into the system accurately and efficiently.
Problem Solving:
Address any issues that arise during the night shift, such as customer disputes, vehicle disputes, vehicle availability, or system malfunctions.
Compliance:
Ensure all operations comply with company policies and procedures, as well as local regulations.
Sales:
Promote upgrades to a more premium car; advising customers on other enhancements like protection product services; selling a full tank of gas; etc.
Communication:
Coordinate with day shift staff to ensure a smooth transition and effective handover of responsibilities.

Some of your nightly duties include:
Balancing paperwork, cash drawer, deposits, reconciling credit cards and submitting batches
Input into the front office system revenue, expenses, and allowances to generate the daily reports such as the Guest Ledger Summary and the Daily Restaurant Summary.
Completing front desk duties including check-ins/outs, room scheduling, room moves, late checkouts, stay-overs and other requests from guests.
Answer guests' questions about the hotel services and amenities.
Where You've Been:
We're looking for someone with an Associate's Degree or six months to one year of related experience, the ability to work evening/overnight shifts, and strong computer skills. But most importantly you must be a people-person! You will need to interact with all hotel guests and team members in a polite and positive way at all times, fulfilling requests (even challenging ones) in a timely manner. If you don't work well under pressure, this won't be a great fit.

Perform nightly balancing of guest folios, room charges, and hotel revenue.
Reconcile daily financial transactions, credit card postings, and cash handling.
Generate and distribute daily audit reports for management review.
Complete accurate check-in and check-out procedures for overnight arrivals and departures.
Respond promptly to guest requests, complaints, and emergencies during overnight hours.
Monitor hotel security, perform property walks, and ensure guest safety.
Prepare the front desk for morning shift operations, including organizing reports and ensuring accuracy of reservations.
Maintain lobby and front desk area cleanliness and organization.
Follow security procedures, monitor guest access, and report any suspicious activity.
Assist with reservations, cancellations, and modifications.
