Youth Villages’ Residential Treatment programs serve children with emotional and behavioral problems. Our residential campuses provide the setting for an intensive treatment program that combines the unique balance of structure and freedom. This enables children and their families to identify, understand and cope with their individual needs and develop the skills necessary to succeed in less restrictive settings. We have three different types of facilities—Intensive Residential Centers, Open Campuses, and Group Homes. Located in Tennessee and Georgia, all of these facilities utilize the Re-Education of Emotionally Disturbed Children therapy model (Re-Ed).
Responsibilites may include but not be limited to:
Ensure the safety and security of the youth in assigned cottage or group home. Observes each youth in a routine and timely manner and note observations according to the guidelines set by the Program Manager. Reports Activity of residents to incoming staff. Completes tasks assigned by supervisor and/or Program Manager. Implements the organization's emergency procedures when needed. Notifies the Resident Teacher/Counselor in the event of an emergency. Must remain awake and alert.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree preferred. High School diploma or GED with 1 year experience with youth / supervisory experience required.
6 months experience with youth required.
Previous night shift experience is a plus. Leadership experience is a plus.
Excellent written, verbal, and oral skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Basic computer knowledge.
Ability to maintain a flexible schedule.
