There were several pros of working at nike including flexible schedule, great coworkers and managers, breaks during shifts, and just an overall great environment.
For me personally, it was a long drive. Had I lived closer, I would go back every summer.
My favorite benefit was the employee discount that I was able to take advantage of.
I really liked how on top of everything they were. The managers would do the same work we would and were very helpful.
I just dressed well and mentally prepared myself to answer any question they had truthfully and to the best of my knowledge.
I made $15 an hour, which seems to be pretty much what every other retail store paid as well.
It was very good. There was no discrimination towards anyone whether it was religion, race, or gender.
Having friendly people that are easy to talk to.
allows me to explore my customer sevice skills aswell as being able to develop my skills in communication in a working enviorment
i unfortunately had a not so friendly manager who was not able to meet my resonable request
the income of course
It was a great space to work
Rushing packages
I love the environment in peoples it was a great job and the pay was okay
Inspirational culture and leadership style
Bureaucracy and politics
gyms / workout facilities and flexible hours
I liked that if a pair of my shoes wore out I would get a free pair
the people there were not very professional.
I worked for the Nike Golf division as a Materials Developer and had to opportunity to work on every different clothing line, especially the Tiger Woods line, Mens Apparel, Womens Apparel, Kids, and 3rd party seller brands.
Only a small portion of employees get to work “on campus” - the rest are spread out in different buildings. This made it harder to cross-pollinate with other groups. I know Nike would prefer to have everyone together on Campus but logistically that wasn’t possible.
I really liked getting to work with people all over the world from Asia to Europe and occasionally South America.
The community feeling and helping people gain items they have always wanted or never knew they needed.
Overtime availability and benefit structure.
Being able to get an inside on new products they may be coming out or displayed for our consumers.
Culture, work/life balance, opportunity for growth
Clicky, very matrixed organization
The brand name is great. Good learning experience
Many aspects related to the management and career growth
Uniform
Nike provided excellent expectations for the job. It also gave me freedom to be creative in my job. I was given a great deal of responsibility, and I was expected to perform at a very high level of excellence.
Long hours
Health care.
the benefits are nice
For how much money this company has, and how popular they are- they do not treat you well. they will try and work you every chance they get.
Every two months you get one pair of free shoes, two pairs of pants and two shirts.
The discount of course
That everything is about who know and not what you know.
Great health insurance and discount.
design talent and ability to work across multiple categories and functions
posturing and ego driving decisions
travel
teamwork is one of the top priorities
no complaints
flexible schedule and very understanding
It's a great company to be a part of, with lots of benefits.
I feel expendable
Shoes
I learned a lot about the company. They took care of their workers. Healthy and safe environment.
Worked well with school schedule.
They gave me a 2 hour lunch break
They didn’t provide the lunch
Free shoes, free clothws
Creative, good pay, ability to grow with company, lots of original job titles.
Overly competitive culture, not good home-life balance and commute.
Company discount, sports culture, nice company campus.
the customer service aspect
lack of training
getting to work with A Diverse group
There is plenty of help to improve yourself and grow within the company.
While there are chances move up, it is hard to be put in those areas.
Health benefits they offer, leadership and being comfortable with the people I work with.
We have amazing teamwork, super fun community involvement events, there are always innovative and new workshops available to us, and of course employee discount perks.
Retail hours are not always consistent or steady so it gets difficult sometimes to juggle work, life, and school.
The employee discount.
