* Engages with end users of assigned commodities (client groups and/or engineers) to establish understanding of the requirements and specifications of commodities.
* Plans, develops, implements, and maintains cost reduction plans for assigned commodities. Tracks and validates cost savings data.
* Establishes, executes, and manages contracts for assigned commodities; issues and maintains purchase orders, and related purchasing records. In collaboration with upper management, manages cost changes for assigned commodities.
* Coordinates activities between all departments and supplier base to ensure contract compliance and resolution of all major issues dealing with quality, cost, delivery, and design.
* Updates databases and other records related to Purchasing functions on a weekly basis in order to accurately report statuses for assignment activities. Analyzes progress toward departmental goals and initiates mitigation action(s) as needed to ensure that goals and deadlines are met.

Summary of Role:

About the Job:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Sales and Use Indirect Tax to provide lead support in ensuring MMNA and its subsidiaries remain compliant with all federal, state, and local tax requirements. Role Summary:
As a Senior Sales and Use Indirect Tax, you will take a lead role in ensuring compliance with sales and use tax as well as other indirect tax matters. You'll research and analyze state and local tax issues, monitor regulatory developments, and serve as a subject matter specialist for both internal teams and external stakeholders. In this role, you will perform routine compliance functions, provide support during audits, contribute to tax planning initiatives, and help strengthen the team by mentoring and cross-training peers.
As a Senior Sales and Use Indirect Tax, You Will:
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of sales/use, excise, and other indirect tax obligations across all jurisdictions.
Research and summarize emerging state/local tax legislation, and administrative rulings to ensure the company is compliant in all jurisdictions and mitigate risk.
Analyze and reconcile sales/use tax general ledger accounts through current reporting periods.
Review consultant workpapers and filings, identify variances, and calculate prospective and historical tax impacts (e.g., tire tax, use tax on company cars).
Maintain complete and accurate records of licenses, permits, and resale tax certificates.
Monitor tax calendar which includes regulatory and internal requirements and ensure all deadlines are met.
Support and lead state/local tax audits, including data preparation, issue resolution, and communication with auditors.
Develop, present, and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance compliance efficiency.
Serve as a backup to other team members, promoting cross-functional learning and collaboration.

Summary of Role:
Are you looking to rev up your career with an exhilarating opportunity? We are looking for an Intern in our Aftersales Department to join our team and contribute to various aspects of our Aftersales corporate and dealer partner initiatives. The role involves spending half of your time on projects within the Aftersales Department at MMNA's headquarters, followed by becoming familiar with the District Parts and Service Manager (DPSM) role and acting as a “Junior DPSM” to dealers in the general market area.
Internship Details:
12-week program, starting in May 2026
Hybrid environment with at least 3 days a week in the Franklin, TN office and/or at dealerships
Office hours: 8 hours per day Monday-Friday (may vary somewhat on dealer visits). Our general office hours are 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, but there is flexibility in start and end time.
Responsibilities:
During your internship you will work on projects such as:
Brainstorm strategies to enhance the customer experience in the Service drive, including parts and accessories retail selling or marketing initiatives;
Process improvement in the Techline, a group of dedicated professional experts who assist our dealer partners with difficult to repair cases;
Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the Aftersales Department to ensure alignment on business objectives;
Analyze and interpret data from our dealer partners to identify trends, improve customer retention, and increase satisfaction.
Research trends in Aftersales training, service, and parts sales including technological advancements, and exploring updates to implement new initiatives to support Aftersales performance.
Understand the requirements to be a successful DPSM and define dealer activities that result in increased parts and accessories sales, growth in the Service drive, retention and loyalty, and overall customer satisfaction.
Partner and collaborate with the Sales Operations intern to become familiar with overall dealer operations and key stakeholders at dealerships.
Required Qualifications:
Educational Requirements: Must be currently enrolled in accredited university/college as a Junior or Senior.
Degree Qualifications: Current major in a BBA program or similar, focusing on supply chain, finance, operations, management, or marketing, OR in a BSE program.
Passion for Automotive: A genuine interest in the automotive industry and a desire to learn and contribute.
Data Proficiency: Able to extract and translate data, document data flow details, and utilize data streams.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and draw meaningful conclusions.
Team Collaboration: Willingness to work collaboratively within the Aftersales and Sales Operations teams.
Pay Transparency:
The hourly rate for this position is $20.00/hour. In addition, we are excited to offer the use of a Mitsubishi vehicle with insurance fully covered during your internship.

A Day in the Life:
* Evaluates all incoming requests from attorneys, state regulatory agencies, dealers, and customers in reference to alleged Lemon Law / Breach of Warranty issues, and product related questions or concerns.
* Receives, audits, and processes all incoming Consumer Affairs (Level 1 and Level 2) and Arbitration goodwill requests. Ensure each request does not put NNA in risk of Lemon Law implications. Analyze process for related improvements including SOPs.
* Responsible for daily and monthly budget tracking and providing analysis for each GW tool and communicate current trends to Sr. Manager and Director. Produces and distributes related weekly reports for Correspondence/Goodwill functions.
* Manages vendor(s) to ensure proper and timely disbursements are made to the customer. Handle customer escalations to resolve concerns when issues arise.
* Audits SAP file and Salesforce for all Consumer Affairs, Dispute Resolution and Legal Buyback checks received from accounting weekly to ensure they are distributed to the correct entities and within state mandated deadlines. Weekly check requests average $1.8M.
* Maintains accounting transactions for Consumer Affairs, Dispute Resolution and Legal teams, which include stop payments, voided checks, check traces and weekly bank deposits for recovery funds received. Works with NNA Accounting to reconcile accounts; review, investigate and correct errors regarding NNA checks.
* Works cross functionally with various NNA departments (Engineering, Parts Return, Legal, Recalls, Product Suggestions, NESNA, NMAC, Subrogation claims) that interact with Consumer Affairs to ensure all incoming customer escalations are received by the accurate entity for immediate response.
* Conducts new hire training and best practices presentations to all new Consumer Affairs and Dispute Resolution employees regarding Goodwill and Correspondence requests in Salesforce.
* Interfaces with dealership personnel and regional staff to audit and approve warranty claims.
* Collaborates with NESNA on VSC Cancellations to ensure proper cancelation of policies and recover funds on all applicable CBB vehicles.
