Education and Experience: Two-year degree in GIS or Telecommunications from an accredited technical college or program or equivalent in work experience. Key Responsibilities System Implementation 40% Responsible for inputting on-going spatial data maintenance and dissemination. Compiles and organizes GIS data from maps, databases, and other sources. Converts data collected from field operations into geospatial database with accurate spatial locations. Performs data research and verification to ensure accuracy of data being entered into the system. Assists with the management and operation of CTC's GIS architecture upon request. Reporting 20% Creates reports, reporting data and maps on the data within GIS. Leads and assists with the collection, organization, and formatting of data for CTC's mandatory reporting obligations. Leads and assists with data for grant applications or new build out opportunities. Business Development 20% Works closely with Marketing, Sales, and Business Development teams to understand and develop new innovative features to benefit all. Makes recommendations on how to utilize GIS to all CTC departments. Creates GIS products in web application formats to spread knowledge across the company. Responds to GIS and mapping requests from various employee teams. Professional Responsibilities 20% Assists GIS staff and Engineering staff with daily activities. Learns and trains new GIS and data skills that will benefit CTC's strategic plan and goals. Engages with and uses GIS-centric scripting languages to improve GIS products workflows, and efficiencies. Creates and documents procedures. Be a resource to CTC Partner companies for GIS needs. Provides GIS analysis upon request. Any other related job duties as assigned by team lead and/or management.
