1997

Following the break-up of the old National Bank of Commerce in 1997, by act of Parliament, three new entities were created: (a) NBC Holdings Limited (b) National Bank of Tanzania (1997) and (c) National Microfinance Bank.

2000

In September 2000 the voters approved a $17.5 million bond issue for neighborhood construction improvements.

2004

2004 Establishment of Minebea-Matsushita Motor Corporation (later Minebea Motor Manufacturing Corporation)

2008 Establishment of an R&D center in Germany

2009

2009 Acquisition of myonic Holding, Germany

2012

In 2012, NMB Bank made a strategic decision to partner with three international shareholders: FMO, Norfund and AfricInvest for a collective additional capital of $14.8 million.

2013

2013 Acquired Minebea's own building in Mita, Minato-ku, Tokyo

2020

NMBZ Holdings releases its 2020 Annual Report

2020 Started the in-house production of masks
