I joined ING in the fall of 2009 as a member of its general management talent rotation program. During this time, I have held a variety of positions of increasing responsibility and seniority, with a focus on the restructuring, turnaround and divestment of several of ING's international and domestic business units following the financial crisis.

These experiences range from managing restructuring and integration programs spanning over 30 business units in 4 continents, to several divestments of ING’s Insurance and Asset Management operations including 2 Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) in Europe and the United States (NN Group, VOYA Financial), to the setup of greenfield operations and the optimization of underperforming departments.

I am motivated by the challenge of formulating and implementing a strategic vision in an international context across a large group of organizations and stakeholders. I have a record of achieving results in complex, ambiguous situations that require innovative solutions due to time, budget or information constraints. I enjoy driving change, and my ability to communicate succinctly and persuasively across a diverse set of stakeholders has been critical in achieving success. I consider people management a privilege where I have the opportunity to help support and develop others and to lead and build a group of individuals into a high-performing team.
