Role Purpose As Chief Engineer you'll manage the engineering/maintenance of your hotel and ensure the safety and comfort of hotel guests and team members. Accountabilities This is the top Maintenance/Engineering job which may include one or more food or beverage outlets, and/or meeting space or catering/convention facilities. May supervise a small maintenance staff. Key Skills & Experiences * Some college or advanced vocational training * Four years' experience in general building maintenance and/or construction or equivalent combination of education and experience * Specialised expertise in plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and carpentry fields * Level 3 EPA Certification, HVAC and refrigeration certificate, licensed plumber and/or journeyman status for electrician and carpenter may be required * Hotel experience preferred * Professional certification and license if required by law The salary range for this role is $70,000 to $85,000. Other responsibilities will include the following: * Prepare and review all journal vouchers, month-end reports and reconciliations * Review preliminary financial statements with Controller * Participate in monthly financial reviews and present reports to Management company and Ownership * Supervision of Accounting staff, Purchasing and Information Technology functions of the hotel including coaching and counseling associates to reflect Noble House service standards and procedures, interviewing, training and evaluating performance of staff. * Manage and oversee hotel on-site accounting functions to ensure proper fiscal management, timely and accurate reporting and analysis for the hotel. This responsibility also includes hotel financial planning, budgeting, accounting and cash management * Systems administration, G/L account reconciliations, budget preparations, inventories, monthly closings and full P&L responsibility. * Managing and ensuring SOX compliance * Completing the year-end audit process. Review and approve all reconciliations and audit work papers. Participate in and respond to auditor requests to ensure total hotel compliance. * Prepare all monthly and annual financial statements. Investigate, review and analyze the variance explanations, involving the department staff in this process. Requirements Two-years experience in Housekeeping, preferably as a supervisor Refined verbal and written communication skills Experience in hospitality housekeeping preferred Experience in taking care of guests in a fast paced environment Ability to consistently lift, pull and push a moderate weight Fluency in both English and Spanish is a plus Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays Salary Description $25.75 Hour
