AdvancedMD, a Global Payments Company, based in South Jordan, UT is looking for a Network Operations Center (NOC) Manager to join our growing ITSecOps team. At AdvancedMD, the NOC team is responsible for monitoring the availability and overall performance of our cloud based AdvancedMD application and responding to any issues that arise in a 24x7x365 environment. Our team works closely with other departments and stakeholders to ensure ourclients have a good experience while using our platform.
Responsibilities:
Leads the 24x7x365 Network Operations Center team.Coordinates the quick resolution of application and infrastructure related incidents while providing regular status updates to internal teams. Contributes to incident retrospectives and incident process improvements.Creates and updates written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies to govern the Network Operations Center team Provides direction for operations and maintenance to ensure service level agreements are maintained.Provides tactical support for growth and future technology advances to benefit the company.Identifies business, application, and infrastructure processes that can be automated and implements continual process improvements to increase productivity and reliability while reducing procedural errors.Interfaces with other teams to understand their requirements and balance those requirements with other functional needs to support the company strategy.Develops project plans, assigns, and manages resources, identifies and solves problems.Not an exhaustive list; other duties as assigned.

Ideal Candidate:
Has a bachelor degree and/or 6+ years of experience in the technology industry and 1-2 years of experience in a leadership role.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Operational knowledge of Windows Server, Microsoft SQL, container technologies (Kubernetes), and cloud infrastructure and concepts. AWS specific experience a plus.Hands on experience with observability software like AppDynamics, Splunk, Nagios, and Sentry One.Familiarity with alert management systems like PagerDuty and Splunk OnCall (VictorOps) Experience with ticketing systems such as Jira, Zendesk or ServiceNow.Proficient in creating, enhancing, and documenting policies and procedures. Essential duties & Responsibilities

  • Participate in the selection, hiring, and career development of NOC Engineers
  • Lead team meetings and provide direction to NOC Engineers

  • Establish and maintain a high standard for customer interactions and troubleshooting processes
  • Set an example of fierce commitment to customer satisfaction
  • Manage both the productivity and quality of work down to the individual engineer level
  • Assure that all NOC Engineers exhibit a customer friendly attitude
  • Communicate and reinforce performance expectations and policies for NOC Engineers
  • Provide assistance and communication with other departments and escalation points relevant to the troubleshooting and resolution of customer issues
  • Work with Network Operations Center / Field Ops / Customer Support to drive accountability and recommend process improvement where necessary
  • Provide Single Point of Contact duties for high-risk & service impacting events
  • Interface with customers, engineers, vendors and technicians to resolve trouble reports
  • Operate in a 24x7x365; this includes shift work, 2nd and 3rd shift hours, and weekends
  • Timely Detection of network events on Enterprise customers where Race has SLA obligations based on custom contract commitments
  • Performs advanced television, voice, IP and transport troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose uncommon problems
  • Remain Interested in elevating their knowledge of technology and better understanding of Race Communications network
