#2 top company for non-acoustic operatorsCompany description:Badger Daylighting Ltd™. (“Badger”) is North America's leading provider of non-destructive hydrovac excavation services. Badger traditionally works for contractors, engineers, and facility owners in the oil and gas, power, municipal, transportation, industrial, and commercial construction industries. Our key technology is the Badger Hydrovac System, a truck-mounted hydrovac excavation unit that is used primarily for digging safely in areas with buried pipes and cables. Unlike traditional mechanical excavation, the Badger Hydrovac uses a pressurized water stream to liquefy the soil cover, which is then removed with a powerful vacuum system and deposited into a storage tank housed on the truck. Badger has been designing and manufacturing the Badger Hydrovac System for more than 20 years, continually improving the safety, efficiency, and productivity of the system. Equipped with the most advanced vacuum excavation equipment, Badger then provides hydrovac services to thousands of customers across North America.Badger crews, customers, and employees provide invaluable feedback on ways to improve the technology. Those ideas are evaluated by an in-house engineering team and the best ideas are incorporated into the design of the next generation of Badger Hydrovac System, making it safer, more reliable, easier to use, and more productive. Today, Badger Daylighting's™, fleet of more than 1000 hydrovac vacuum trucks provide excavation services to more than 100 US and Canadian locations and their surrounding areas.

#6 top company for non-acoustic operatorsCompany description:Georgia-Pacific is one of the manufacturers and marketers of tissue, packaging, paper, pulp, building products and related chemicals with nearly 35,000 employees worldwide. Georgia-Pacific is an independently managed and operated company of Koch Industries a private company headquartered in Wichita, Kan. Georgia-Pacific was founded by Owen Robertson Cheatham in 1927 in Augusta, Georgia as the Georgia Hardwood Lumber Co. Over the years it expanded, adding sawmills and plywood lumber mills. The company acquired its first West Coast facility in 1947 and changed its name to Georgia-Pacific Plywood & Lumber Co. in 1948. In 1956, the company changed its name to Georgia-Pacific Corp. In 1957 the company entered the pulp and paper business by building a kraft pulp and linerboard mill at Toledo, Oregon. The company continued to make a series of acquisitions, including US Plywood in 1987, Great Northern Nekoosa in 1990, and the Fort James Corporation in 2000. The Fort James Corporation was the result of a series of mergers of enterprises that included the Fort Howard Corporation, the James River Corporation and Crown-Zellerbach. In August 2001, Georgia-Pacific completed the sale of four un-coated paper mills and their associated businesses and assets to Canadian papermaker Domtar for US$1.65 billion. Georgia-Pacific was removed from the NYSE (it had traded under the symbol GP) and shareholders surrendered their shares for about $48 per share. The Georgia-Pacific Tower in Atlanta continues to house the company's headquarters. On January 11, 2010, Georgia-Pacific signed an agreement to acquire Grant Forest Products' oriented strand board ("OSB") facility at Englehart, Ontario and the associated facility at Earlton, Ontario, as well as its OSB facilities at Clarendon and Allendale, South Carolina, for approximately $400 million. The transaction closed in July 2013, following Canadian regulatory review and US court approval under the Hart-Scott-Rodino merger review process.

#7 top company for non-acoustic operatorsCompany description:Lowe's has been helping our customers improve the places they call home for more than 60 years. Founded in 1946, Lowe's has grown from a small hardware store to the second-largest home improvement retailer worldwide. Our story began in North Carolina, when Carl Buchan, part owner of the North Wilkesboro Hardware Company, envisioned creating a chain of hardware stores. He purchased the company from his brother-in-law and partner and had the foresight to anticipate a post-World War II building boom. By eliminating wholesalers and dealing directly with manufacturers, Lowe's established a lasting reputation for low prices. Sales grew over time and we expanded all across the country and now operate stores not only in the United States, but also in Canada and Mexico. Although times have changed since Lowe's first opened its doors in 1946, Lowe's values have not- the company remains committed to offering high-quality home improvement products at everyday low prices, while delivering superior customer service.
