A Day in the Life: Here in the Aerospace Capital of America, Palmdale, California, you will find yourself working on some of the most exciting programs within the company. Essential Duties: * Communicates clearly and concisely via email, text, or verbally * Ensures all inspections comply with Sabre's quality standards * Conducts in process and final visual weld and dimensional inspections in accordance with AWS D1.1 * Preforms MT 1 inspections (dry powder) in accordance to Sabre's quality requirements * Verifies and maintains inspection and test status of product during all stages of manufacturing * Verifies rework and repair of nonconforming products * Initiates requests for corrective action on observed conditions which do not conform to quality system requirements * Prepares, reviews and maintains Quality records appropriate to inspection and test activities to assure legibility, completeness, and correctness of the information * Visually inspects manufactured parts to ensure they are manufactured per the drawings/specifications * Ensures that customer requirements are determined and met or exceeded * Contributes to a safe working environment by being responsible for quality, safety, organization, and cleanliness in area of operation * Contributes to team effort by communicating and working well with others, as well as accomplishing related tasks as needed * Maintains a professional demeanor at all times * Performs other duties as assigned * Regular and on-time attendance * Work in your shift as scheduled * Getting along with coworkers Position Requirements: * Education: 20 hours of MT 1 classroom training per STN-TC-1A is required. Must be able to meet the AWS D1.1 requirements of a visual weld inspector. High school diploma or equivalent. Two-year Associate/Technical degree preferred. * Experience: Recent experience working with Quality Control in a welding/manufacturing environment preferred. Must be able to read blueprints (engineering drawings).
