This job involves performing and interpreting Ultrasonic (UT) inspections using automated inspection systems and handheld techniques to determine acceptability of composite aircraft parts throughout the manufacturing process for quality and design verification in a fast-paced high rate production environment. Requires certification in UT Non-Destructive testing in accordance with regulations. **Basic Qualifications NDT 3:** + High School Graduate/GED (education will be verified) and Level 2 Certification per NAS410 in Radiography and Ultrasound (certification will be verified). + Minimum of 4 years related Ultrasound and Radiography, experience using automated and hand held pulse echo Units (USM GO, USN 60). + Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment as part of a multi-disciplined team + Ability to pass vision screen and color blindness test + Have excellent computer skills + As needed, available to work off shifts and possible flexible/changing schedules including weekends + Ability to utilize measuring devices including comparators, micrometers, scales, and calipers + Ability to read and interpret blueprint and engineering drawings and be able to document non-conformances as required + Perform physical requirements of the position, including handling/positioning parts in the Ultrasonic inspection fixtures/tanks to perform Ultrasonic inspections + Ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools, lifting up to 50lbs. + Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance and Special Program Access **Preferred Qualifications:** + Radiography, ultrasound, penetrant, eddy current, laser shearography, and magnetic particle. Requires certifications in non-destructive testing in accordance with regulations. or classroom training/experience in operating basic Ultrasonic equipment in progress or completed. This position will work alongside experienced NDT Technicians that allow continuous interaction of techniques, skill knowledge, print reading and interpretation. The primary parts processed will be turbine engine components. Through our extensive in-house training program, (OJT) (NAS410) the successful applicant will be instructed via a series of computer based and hands-on training, the necessary skills and obtain the required hours and certification credentials for the position of Level II.
