Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is looking for you to join our team as a Non-Destructive Test (NDT) Technician 3 based out of Beavercreek, Ohio.
This job involves performing and interpreting Ultrasonic (UT) inspections using automated inspection systems and handheld techniques to determine acceptability of composite aircraft parts throughout the manufacturing process for quality and design verification in a fast-paced high rate production environment. Requires certification in UT Non-Destructive testing in accordance with regulations.
**Basic Qualifications NDT 3:**
+ High School Graduate/GED (education will be verified) and Level 2 Certification per NAS410 in Radiography and Ultrasound (certification will be verified).
+ Minimum of 4 years related Ultrasound and Radiography, experience using automated and hand held pulse echo Units (USM GO, USN 60).
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment as part of a multi-disciplined team
+ Ability to pass vision screen and color blindness test
+ Have excellent computer skills
+ As needed, available to work off shifts and possible flexible/changing schedules including weekends
+ Ability to utilize measuring devices including comparators, micrometers, scales, and calipers
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprint and engineering drawings and be able to document non-conformances as required
+ Perform physical requirements of the position, including handling/positioning parts in the Ultrasonic inspection fixtures/tanks to perform Ultrasonic inspections
+ Ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools, lifting up to 50lbs.
+ Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance and Special Program Access
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Radiography, ultrasound, penetrant, eddy current, laser shearography, and magnetic particle. Requires certifications in non-destructive testing in accordance with regulations. or classroom training/experience in operating basic Ultrasonic equipment in progress or completed. Must be able to provide formal training and experience records
+ Experience and familiarity with inspection/interpretation engineering requirements of Aerospace or composite parts/materials.
+ Experience in Composite Manufacturing/High Output Production
+ Experience with multiple brands of flaw detectors strongly desired
+ Experience working with Automated Ultrasonic Inspection Systems
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Primary Level Salary Range: $60,500.00 - $100,900.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
