Nonprofit Finance Fund CEO and leadership

Jessica serves as Chief Business Development Officer for the Advisory Services practice at Nonprofit Finance Fund and in this role has responsibility for generating $8.8 million in revenue to support NFF's strategic financial management consulting services for mission-based organizations and their funding partners. She further facilitates cross-sector partnerships at the intersection of health and human services to improve social outcomes that improve community health.

As VP of Strategic Innovation, she oversaw NFF’s work in the Pay for Success (PFS) arena, spearheading the development of the PFS Learning Hub (www.payforsuccess.org) and Pay for Success: The First Generation, a comparative analysis of the first 10 PFS projects in the United States, implementation of the California PFS Initiative and the Social Innovation Fund PFS Initiative to develop PFS projects across California and the nation, acquisition of CDFI Fund grant to invest in four PFS projects nationally and creation of curriculum to ready providers to engage in these projects. She has spoken prolifically on PFS in the US including testimony to the California State Legislature and facilitation of five convenings presented in partnership with the White House Office of Social Innovation.

As NFF's California Market Director, she led program growth and product delivery in California, overseeing new regional initiatives and rolling out new programs and services in the region.

Previously, Ms. LaBarbera was a Vice President at Citi Community Capital, a division of Citigroup Global Markets Inc., (2006-2008) where she provided structured financing and relationship management to national nonprofit and Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) clients.

Ms. LaBarbera holds an MPA in Nonprofit Management from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs and a BA in Sociology from the University of Virginia.
