GENERAL SUMMARY & SCOPE
The Master Stylist is responsible for engaging with guests, consulting with them on their hair care needs and recommending products and services. The Master Stylist delivers quality professional services with an emphasis on the guest's total look. They support the Experience Manager (SM) and Assistant Services Manager (ASM) through a focus on performance (service sales, and productivity), people (guest service), and process (operating procedures and compliance standards). This position requires a passion for the beauty industry, exceptional guest service, and the aptitude to learn and communicate product knowledge.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (*Essential Functions)

Performance
Perform hair services including hair design, haircuts, color, texture, hair treatments, styling, updos, perms, blowouts, keratin treatments, extensions, makeup applications, and ear piercing (where applicable).
Meet or exceed sales goal of $1250 average weekly sales and productivity goals for hair services by delivering exceptional guest service and contribute to meeting or exceeding the store's goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty (including credit), and retail shrink as set by Ulta Beauty.
Perform product demonstrations with guests to drive sales and guest service experience.
Support the execution of in-store events, promotions and marketing initiatives that deliver an unrivaled guest experience.
Take the initiative to stay informed regarding new and existing industry trends, products, and services during work time, and be knowledgeable about the ingredients and benefits of these trends, products, and services to better serve guests.
Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
People
Develop guest relationships through consultations and appropriate retail and service recommendations.
Serve all guests, including walk-in guests, in a timely and efficient manner.
Develop a partnership with skin therapists and the retail team to provide a total-store and well-rounded guest experience.
Establish professional peer and brand partner relationships that foster a shared interest in collaboratively delivering exceptional guest experience.
Share the benefits of the guest loyalty program, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app, with guests in the salon and salesfloor.
Attend mandatory trainings and meetings to enable continuous professional development.
Process
Be knowledgeable of and ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty's policies, procedures, and standards.
Follow all safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures before, during, and after services; always ensure compliance with state board guidelines.
Follow established service protocols to ensure a consistent and exceptional guest experience.
Utilize appropriate booking and clientele systems to book guests for return services and for events.
Communicate any supply needs to the Experience Manager, ensuring guest readiness at all times.
Maintain outstanding store operational standards, including cleanliness of the salon, salesfloor, restrooms, backroom, break area, and any additional assigned area.
Adhere to the Ulta Beauty dress code.
Protect company assets by following loss prevention best practices and providing exceptional guest service.
Execute other operational tasks as directed.

SALARY AND BENEFITS: Starting salary of $55,600 to $68,200 based on experience. Benefits package includes Blue Cross/Blue Shield major medical health insurance; eye care, dental, life and disability insurance; paid vacation and sick leave; a choice of IPERS or TIAA retirement plans, and a variety of additional optional benefits.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required in education, educational administration or related field. Experience in planning and managing a sizable budget required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree preferred. Minimum two years of teaching or academic support at the college level. Prefer curriculum development experience, particularly related to developmental education. Experience working with programs focused on increasing student success and retention. Minimum two years of experience with direct management of state and federal grant programs. Familiarity with the Title III program.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
* Establish, maintain, and communicate informed understanding of the direction, goals, objectives and strategies of the Title III projects.
* Establish and maintain effective communication channels and procedures to ensure the operation of the project remain congruent with the overall institutional strategic plan.
* Manage day-to-day activities of the project.
* Supervise project teams and staff members.
* Coordinate Project Advisory Team and serve as Chair with the responsibility for scheduling meetings, setting agendas, and maintaining meeting minutes and records.
* Develop and maintain all Title III project records, including policies and procedures, purchasing records, budget information, activity and implementation information, and evaluation results.
* Work within the Academic Affairs Department to administer the budget, purchase supplies or technology, and hire personnel.
* Set up and monitor data collection mechanism for all project evaluation components.
* Coordinate the evaluation process, including work with the external evaluator.
* Complete grant related reports and updates for the external evaluation team and federal reports.
* Monitor and approve all grant expenditure in compliance with federal regulations, project objectives, and College policies.
* Attend training and workshops as appropriate for the position.
* Establish and maintain effective professional relationships with staff, students, faculty, and other NIACC stakeholders.
* Be attentive to detail, accurately follow written and oral instructions, and work independently.
* Maintain records and files as requested by the Vice President of Academic Affairs. Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Vice President of Academic Affairs relating to the success of the project.
* Maintain strong organizational skills, demonstrate reliability, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Fulfill other responsibilities as needed or assigned.
Perform in a manner that strengthens the coordination and cooperation of all organizational components of the College, including opportunities for student recruitment.
