RESPONSIBILITIES:
Day-to-Day Operations: Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department with a continuous improvement approach to increasing efficiencies, optimizing processes, and mitigating risk.
Financial Records Coordination: Prepare, analyze, and coordinate financial records for each period, serving as the department's expert in accounting software functionality.
Efficiency Identification: Manage all department activities, ensuring efficient delegation of tasks and identifying opportunities for process improvements.
Contract and Grant Management: Oversee the preparation of billings for all NORC contracts and grants.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial reports to ensure accuracy and transparency.
Audits: Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors and establish and maintain robust audit trails for accountability.
Period and Year-End Closures: Manage accounting period and fiscal year-end closes.
General Ledger Integrity: Ensure the integrity of the general ledger.
Analysis: Perform analysis of accounting information and supporting processes.
Bank Transactions: Manage bank transactions and reconciliations.
Team management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team of 20 professionals.
Strategic planning: Lead the department's strategic planning and budgeting processes.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required; a Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is preferred.
Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required.
Experience:
At least 15 years of directly related general accounting work experience, with at least 10 years in supervisory and accounting management roles in public or private industry.
Public accounting foundation (Big Four preferred) combined with in-house corporate reporting leadership required.
Experience working directly with auditors.
Experience working in a government contracting environment preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

REQUIRED SKILLS:
Master's in Pharmacy or Nursing, Doctoral degree in Pharmacy or Medicine preferred.

The role of the medicine in-country lead is to be an ambassador, driver, and guide of the clinical and educational missions in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine between the North American, European and Kenyan institutions of the AMPATH consortium. The in-country lead resides in Eldoret, Kenya full-time, and their primary mission is to build capacity through workforce development and contribute to the delivery of high quality care. They accomplish this by working closely with Kenyan, North American and European faculty, residents, and medical students to support a positive learning environment that is respectful to all.
This position is supported by the Indiana University Center for Global Health (IUCGH) and Indiana University (IU) Department of Medicine or Department of Family Medicine. The in-country lead will receive an appointment as a Visiting Assistant Professor in Internal Medicine or Visiting Professor in Family Medicine at IU School of Medicine (IUSM) and a Visiting Lecturer in Internal Medicine at Moi University School of Medicine (MUSOM).
The position is a 2-year position.
The in-country lead is directly responsible to the IUCGH Director and Director of Education. Day-to-day activities are supervised and managed by the AMPATH Executive Site Director. For clinical and teaching responsibilities related to Moi University, the in-country lead will report to the Head of Department of Internal Medicine Moi University.
Service Duties
Clinical Duties
* Participate in clinical care for internal medicine patients at MTRH. This primarily involves leading bedside teaching and rounds for teams of Kenyan registrars (residents) and medical students.
* Work in an outpatient clinic in the MOH or MTRH care systems (AMPATH clinics, MTRH specialty clinics, etc.)
* Provide clinical care as a consultant on the inpatient internal medicine wards as assigned by the MU and MTRH department heads (minimum expectation of 3-4 months per year).
* Participate in the on-call clinical rotation as assigned by the departmental leadership.
* Participate in care initiatives as requested by departmental or hospital leadership (i.e. Ebola response plan, QI initiatives on wards, etc.)
Support for guests at IU House
* Be available to discuss medical issues in advance for adults (and children for FM in-country lead) with chronic medical issues coming to IU House
* Provide necessary urgent medical care for all adults (and children for FM in-country lead) staying at IU House and/or facilitate access to appropriate medical care at a local hospital/clinic.

As a visiting lecturer at Moi University Department of Internal Medicine or Family Medicine the in-country lead is expected to:
* Attend department meetings, weekly registrar "mini-rounds", journal club and other departmental meetings
* Assist in administering registrar and student exams including writing exam questions
* Facilitate didactic teaching for medical students and registrars when requested
* Optional - supervise and mentor registrars with thesis research projects
Educational Duties
* Assist the IUCGH Director of Education and Associate Director of Education with global health related educational activities for IU residents and students, including:
* Assist with predeparture orientation and provide re-orientations once IU visitors are in Kenya
* Complete timely evaluations of all trainees rotating in Internal Medicine and Family Medicine in Kenya.
* Oversee the 1st year medical student summer scholars (Slemenda Scholars).
* Coordinate visiting learners and teaching faculty from all AMPATH Consortium schools including scheduling, coordinating with Internal Medicine and Family Medicine leadership at MUSOM and MTRH and orientating visitors.
* Lead educational activities and didactics to North American and European trainees. Traditionally, the educational activities include delivering Global Health Talks (twice a week) and other teaching, coordinating Fireside chats and delivering Moi University Grand Rounds.
* Support Kenyan students/registrars with exchange opportunities including pre-departure orientation/preparation, post-return debriefing, assisting with medical oriented logistics; bedside and didactic teaching; and serving as a mentor.

Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
The Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) partners with the research community to support and advance the University's research mission by providing leadership and expertise in research administration. OSP facilitates and manages all aspects of sponsored research administration for over $1B in sponsored awards each year while developing and maintaining strong relationships with campus partners and external sponsors. OSP is responsible for the following primary functions: (1) proposal review and submission, (2) award negotiation, (3) award management, (4) financial reporting and cash management, (5) F&A rate development, negotiation, and review, (6) cost analysis and research service center (recharge) rate development, (7) monitoring and oversight of time and effort reporting, (8) oversight of regulatory compliance, (9) training and development for research administration personnel, and (10) Project closeout and final reporting requirements. There are four functional areas of responsibility within the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP), which have the following types of positions: (1) program administration; (2) accounting, financial reporting, and cash management; (3) data management reporting and analysis; and (4) financial compliance, effort reporting, cost studies, and cost accounting standards (CAS).
OSP serves as the official institutional signatory for the Chancellor and is responsible for reviewing and authorizing proposal submissions, as well as negotiating and administering awards on behalf of the University. These activities include monitoring institutional compliance for research and training activities, pre-award services, billing and financial reporting, cash management, cost analysis and compliance of research-related activities, verification of technical report and patent & invention report submissions by principal investigators (PIs), award closeout, and the implementation of information technology into research administration activities. OSP's centralized administrative functions facilitate the development and implementation of standardized policies & procedures across the University. They also provide training opportunities to improve University-wide efficiencies and communication to increase the quality of research administration.
Position Summary

The Cost Analysis and Compliance Unit in the Office of Sponsored Programs is comprised in part by the Central Effort Administration team. The Lead Central Effort Analyst position will be tasked with performing, where needed, all day-to-day responsibilities assigned to the Central Effort Administration team. Additionally, the position will provide mentorship and guidance to other team members, when necessary.
Primary job responsibilities for the Lead Central Effort Analyst position include working with the Cost Accounting and Central Effort (CA/CE) Manager to administer the day-to-day aspects of the University effort reporting function to ensure compliance with federal guidelines and University operating standards and procedures. The Lead Central Effort Analyst will also serve as the first point of contact for the Central Effort Analysts regarding complex effort reporting problems. The position will also lead the post-certification review and analysis of all effort reports that require additional action to update the status or to document system issues and limitations.
Responsibilities also include reviewing and approving electronic Payroll Action Request (ePAR) and Payroll Accounting Adjustment Tool (PAAT) HR transactions in ConnectCarolina that impact sponsored projects. When complex issues arise, this position will be expected to develop and present potential solutions to the CA/CE Manager to determine an appropriate course of action. During high volume work periods, the Lead CA/CE Analyst will have the authority to make decisions regarding the proper approach to resolve ePAR or PAAT transactions.
The Lead Central Effort Analyst will serve as the first line of oversight to closely monitor compliance within the team and the university research enterprise. The position will utilize strong communication skills to accurately identify and describe any concerns to leadership in OSP and within the campus community.

The Statistics and Data Science department conducts a wide range of statistical projects, engaging in statistical analysis, modeling, data linkage, matching, disclosure control, small area estimation, and Bayesian analysis, to support all aspects of social science research. The Statistics and Data Science Department implements state-of-the-art statistical methods and develops innovations to deliver reliable data and rigorous analysis to guide critical programmatic, business, and policy decisions for NORC clients. In collaboration with all NORC subject area departments, the Statistics and Data Science Department provides leadership along the project life cycle for study design, data collection, analysis, and dissemination of results, and also conducts its own research. The department is a leader in designing and implementing rigorous, efficient methods for sampling from populations and weighting resultant survey data. The department provides expertise and leads NORC strategy on the use of a broad range of methods for the analysis of primary and secondary data, including Bayesian analysis, data linkage and statistical matching for combining multiple data sources, data quality assessment, differential privacy, imputation, machine learning, small area estimation, statistical disclosure limitation, survival analysis, visualization, and efficient and reproducible workflow development. The department collaborates with the Methodology and Quantitative Social Sciences department, all NORC research departments, and the Academic Research Centers in addition to conducting research in its own field.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Function as project director or lead statistician, providing leadership with accountability for all activities on project assignments
Provide direction on statistical matters, including developing and overseeing key operational processes, workflows, study design, sampling, weighting, analytic methods, computation, communication of methods and results, data stewardship, and quality assurance
Navigate with the client and with the project team new developments and potential innovations to methodology and operations

Reporting to the Vice President of Strategic Communications and External Affairs, NORC's Digital Director will lead, design, and create the future of NORC's digital engagement content, platforms, and processes. COMMUNICATIONS AND EXTERNAL AFFAIRS
Strategic Communications and External Affairs supports the entire NORC organization with expertise in corporate communications and creative services, external affairs, internal communications, and select project-level communications.
Our digital work primarily supports the promotion of NORC's research and people to the public: we work with members of the media to publicize our research projects and our expertise; we support external events where NORC experts present or speak; we maintain the external NORC website, ************* we support client projects that need digital communications expertise, and we manage NORC's social media presence on Facebook and Twitter. RESPONSIBILITIES:
The role of Digital Director will:
Oversee NORC's organizational websites and affiliated web properties, developing communications strategies and plans to ensure that they are up to date, of the highest quality, user-friendly, and optimized for maximum impact and influence.
Lead NORC's digital team, including staff in communications, a network of embedded departmental web leads, and the vendors and freelancers who help NORC meet its digital communications goals.
Collaborate with Communications and IT colleagues to enhance the institution's overall brand through strategic, valuable content. Coordinate with external affairs and content teams in promoting NORC's thought leaders and research dissemination strategies.
Use analytics and data to tune and optimize usage, design, and architecture across NORC's key platforms. Analytics will be used to set goals for reach, growth, and engagement for the organization and will be measured and shared regularly.
Lead social media and online market outreach to develop and grow engaged communities and conversations that build support for and awareness of NORC's initiatives, experts, and research.
Partner with NORC's Digital Outreach and Strategy Research Program Area (PA) to both provide support and to engage PA resources in corporate work as needed.
Supervise and mentor NORC's digital communications associate.
Lead, coach, and mentor colleagues as appropriate on best practices for websites, social media, newsletters, and email marketing by establishing appropriate materials, training, resources, and peer outreach in collaboration with key comms colleagues.
Provide direct support and strategy to research teams who are delivering digital communications services to clients.
Advise management and research leads on digital publishing and promotion plans to support targeted online outreach and digital engagement best practices.
Work with IT and Communications to identify and implement optimized infrastructure and tools for supporting a broad range of digital engagement goals.
Develop digital partnerships with affiliated organizations, particularly top-tier research organizations, academic institutions, media outlets, and research partners to leverage the reach of others in promoting NORC and its work.
Champion digital accessibility and its implementation across digital spheres including social media, web, and internal communications.
Stay abreast of emerging innovations in implementing social media programs and measuring social media impact inclusive of paid, owned, and earned exposure.
Guide the organization into the future by continually improving its digital ecosystem and reputation as a best-in-class digital leader in creating and promoting engaging digital experiences.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
From a strategic standpoint, the candidate must possess a strong understanding of what makes a powerful narrative and how it is best delivered across audiences leveraging digital platforms, i.e., how to tell a story using words, images, or audio and an understanding of how to create content that engages an audience in different digital environments and formats.
The candidate should be experienced in identifying and telling compelling stories across digital channels and media outlets and identifying and leveraging platforms and methods for distributing and amplifying messages.
The ideal candidate should possess an extensive background in digital marketing and/or digital communications. The successful candidate will be a seasoned professional with demonstrated success holding progressively responsible positions in marketing and communications with a focus on creating compelling brand experiences, messaging, and deep digital engagement.
Experience with social media and digital ad platforms including but not limited to LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Google Ads.
Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in related field such as marketing, journalism, communications, or related field.
10 years related digital engagement/marketing experience in B2C or B2B or nonprofit brands; previous experience working with a premium positioned brand as well as understanding of tactics that can both build and potentially erode brand trust highly desired.
High-degree of knowledge and comfort with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Adobe analytics.
Experience in the research industry or a large non-profit setting is desirable though not required.
