About the Program
The Nordstrom Retail Leadership Training Program (RLTP) is an accelerated program designed to prepare future retail leaders. You'll learn management essentials, gain hands-on selling experience, and rotate through a Nordstrom Rack store to understand operations in a fast-paced environment.

* Drive sales every day. Selling is a key part of this role - building customer relationships and delivering legendary service is essential to your success.
* Lead and motivate teams while delivering exceptional customer service.

You own this if you have….
* 1+ year retail experience (preferred).
* Strong communication skills and a passion for leadership.
* Ability to work evenings and weekends.
* Flexibility to work at multiple locations and willingness to accept placement within 20 miles of the training store.
* Availability for the duration of the program and ability to provide your own transportation for the 2-week Rack rotation.
* Comfortable with selling and excited to meet and exceed sales goals.

Upon successful completion, you'll be eligible for an Assistant Department Manager role at a Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack within 20 miles of the training store. Permanent placement at the training store is not guaranteed.

The Sales Consultant is responsible for proactively soliciting and acquiring new customers inside assigned THD stores and during industry events (such as Home Shows). To drive sales and increase the pipeline of potential customers, a Sales Consultant will travel to their assigned stores, maintain local relationships, educate store associates on HDIS offerings, and bring awareness to HDIS programs.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ 100% - Customer Service -Travel and engage in outside sales activities, primarily in customers' homes. Conduct professional and compelling sales presentations. Adapt quickly to changing customer needs and effectively advocate HDIS solutions. Conduct incidental activities necessary to complete sales (e.g., assessing customer needs, develop price quotes, measure product specifications, etc.) Present warranty and available financing options to customers. Prepare for appointments, commute to/from appointments and process sales-related paperwork. Prospecting for new customers both inside and outside of assigned THD store and participate in scheduled industry events. Proactively seek out new referrals and develop and maintain relationships with store management and associates. Attend sales and store team meetings to continually improve sales techniques and learn about HDIS product offerings.

As the Retail Experience Manager, you'll assume the day-to-day leadership duties of your home store or group of stores to ensure employees are deployed efficiently and deliver excellent customer experiences. You'll drive localized customer and employee engagement strategies throughout your assigned store or stores within your designated micro-market (local surrounding stores). In addition, you'll be responsible for driving employee development and performance management.
What you'll do
Enable and empower employees to drive world-class customer experiences
Drive employee experience strategy across the micro-market to drive seamless customer experiences
Analyze performance indicators against business strategies and lead your team to facilitate growth or improve results
Lead efforts to maximize results or provide course correction as needed
Help drive sales and operational success within an assigned home location or across the micro-market as needed
Basic qualifications
2 years of experience as a supervisor or manager in business, military or related fields
2 years of sales or customer service experience
1 year of experience managing and reviewing operational expenses and revenue
