Primary Responsibilities:
Help process provider applications and re-applications including initial mailing, review and loading into the database tracking system
Conduct audits and provide feedback to reduce errors and improve processes and performance
Work independently to resolve standard and non-standard requests

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
1+ years of managed care or medical insurance experience
1+ years of experience in credentialing providers, working in provider relations, medical billing or quality management
Basic level of proficiency with MS Excel and Word
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of CAQH
Experience managing a group mailbox
Payer enrollment experience
Knowledge of NCQA guidelines

File and maintain medical records
Consistently correct registration work queue errors
Confirms and schedule appointments
Answer telephone calls promptly and courteously
Perform referral documentation promptly
Working daily in the claims edit work queue and referrals work queue to correct registration errors for submission to insurance companies
Performs certain follow-up services for patients in a prompt and courteous manner, such as scheduling specialist appointments, scheduling follow-up appointments and obtaining copies of lab results or specialist reports
Adhere to the standards identified via Sparq regarding Optum Employee Policies
Work cohesively with fellow employees to achieve specific team goals
Keep abreast of current medical requirements relevant to their position, which includes maintaining patient confidentiality and abiding by all HIPAA and OSHA requirements
Comfortable working in high pace environment
Participate in planning, coordinating, and implementing care in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team in accordance with the Plan of Care
Assure the continuity of care through scheduling and tracking systems
Provide effective communication to patient / family team members and other health care professionals as evidenced by documentation, case conferences, communication notes, and evaluations

Primary Responsibilities:
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of specific registration requirements for all areas, including but not limited to: Main Admitting, OP Registration, ED Registration, Maternity and Rehabilitation units
Ensures complete, accurate and timely entry of demographic information into the ADT system at the time of registration
Properly identifies the patient to ensure medical record numbers are not duplicated
Responsible for reviewing assigned accounts to ensure accuracy and required documentation is obtained and complete
Meet CMS billing requirements for the completion of the MSP, issuance of the Important Message from Medicare, issuance of the Observation Notice, and other requirements, as applicable and documenting completion within the hospital's information system for regulatory compliance and audit purposes
Collects and enters required data into the ADT system with emphasis on accuracy of demographic and financial information to ensure appropriate reimbursement

Work includes structural repairs and rehabilitation of the bridge approach, engraved pylons, viewing terrace, flag plaza, stairways, balusters, and ornamental elements, with all original granite stones cleaned, repaired, and reinstalled. The project also includes restoration of landscape beds, sidewalks, and planting in accordance with the original 1930 design, along with accessibility and safety upgrades to meet current OSHA and ADA standards.
This role is contingent upon award of project.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Provide technical assistance and support to CO during construction.
Read, interpret and understand the construction contract plans and specifications.
Arrange, attend and facilitate a variety of meetings, including weekly meetings at the project site.
Document issues encountered and problems experienced with the construction contractor.
Review contractor's baseline and progress schedules.
Draft project related correspondence for NPS to review and issuance.
Understand and document inspections with pictures and reports during and post construction as well as mock-up inspections.
Monitor Construction Contractor compliance with Accident Prevention Plans (APP), Asbestos hazard Abatement Plan (AHAP), and applicable safety requirements.
Inspect the work of the construction contractor for progress, workmanship, quality and conformance with contract documents, applicable building codes and safety standards.
Deliver reports, reviews, evaluations, design work, etc. to CO.
Review, analyze, and assist in preparing cost estimates.
Review and process Construction Contractor's RFIs and assist in resolution, draft response, tracking, and follow up.
Required Education, Knowledge and Skills:
Minimum four (4) year Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, Construction Management or other related field preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years of relevant construction and/or engineering work experience demonstrating knowledge and experience in construction management.
Proven experience in the restoration and rehabilitation of National Historic Landmarks or similarly significant historic structures
preferred.
Demonstrated expertise in managing projects involving crane operations and heavy lifting activities in accordance with safety regulations.
Strong communication and reporting skills, with a track record of timely coordination with Architecture/Engineering (A/E) teams and National Park Service (NPS) Contracting Officer's Representatives to support quality control objectives preferred
Experience working on federally funded projects or within historic and environmentally sensitive sites strongly preferred
Proficient in evaluating detailed cost estimates and contractor proposals, including breakdowns of labor, equipment, materials, overhead, and profit.
Skilled in identifying, defining, and documenting scope changes due to owner direction or differing site conditions.
Experience supporting or conducting technical negotiations with contractors, including scope, cost components, and terms.
Ability to interpret construction schedules and accurately assess and document project progress.
Capable of reviewing and evaluating payment requests against completed work and contractual milestones.
Relevant experience on projects involving similar scope of work.

Summary
A Standardized Patient (SP) is a specialized role player, a person who can accurately and consistently recreate the history, personality, physical finding, emotional structure, and response patterns of an actual patient. The SP participates in the teaching and assessment of undergraduate medical students, medical residents, nurses, and allied health care professionals ( learners ) during Medical Simulation training. The SP is a person, age 18 or greater, trained to act out the role of a patient, family member, or other individual to allow “learners” to practice physical exams (non-invasive), history taking skills, communications skills, and other important clinical skills required by Healthcare Providers. The SP must be able to accurately portray a specific scenario for which the learners will perform a brief interview and/or a focused medical case. An SP may also be required to provide constructive feedback regarding the learner's performance.
Job Duties
Specific duties will take place at Naval Medical Center San Diego (Balboa Hospital), the STOPS Tactical Training Laboratory in San Diego, CA, or another location at the direction of the client. Individuals must be able to follow the direction of the Lead Evaluator/Instructor during training scenarios.
The SP will present scenarios in a standardized manner, as instructed by the Lead Evaluator/Instructor and/or as elicited by the learner during simulated interactive patient history and/or a medical case.
The SP will remain in a specific “character” when responding to the learner's questions.
The SP must accurately remember encounters with learners for the purpose of providing feedback on learner performance.
The SP may be recorded or videotaped during the simulation.
The SP must respect the privacy of the learners and hold in confidence all information obtained during a scenario/case.
The SP will perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
The SP may from time to time be required to perform the duties of a general or casualty actor/role player.
