19. Mentors and/or coaches the assembly technicians, provides training, and evaluates their skill level and capabilities for classification advancements

Our Opportunity
North American Lighting (NAL) is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Technician - III to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the Manufacturing Engineering group through coordinating and performing pre-production part build activities and equipment trials, and overseeing the prototype warehouse.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Your Priorities
* Participates in activities required to build prototype and pre-production sample parts.
* Assists with confirmation trials of assembly equipment.
* Provides technical support for equipment installation, set-up, and troubleshooting.
* Organizes and maintains an inventory of components and equipment needed for prototype builds.
* Prepares, summarizes, and reports trial data for manufacturing and engineering groups.
* Supervises and coordinates the work of hourly and temporary personnel in the prototype area.
Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000
Requirements
Your Background
High School diploma or GED, plus 5 years of technical work experience in assembly process in a manufacturing facility.
Associate's Degree in Engineering or Industrial Technology, and Experience in the following areas is preferred:
* Machine set-up
* PLC and robotic programming
* Hot plate, vibration, and sonic welding
* Forward and signal lighting assembly practices
