North American Lighting (NAL) is looking for a Material Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will load, unload, and transport materials in order to keep parts moving throughout the department and/or facility in compliance with company processes (i.e.: Kanban system).
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Your Priorities
* Moves parts and/or finished goods to/and between process areas throughout the plant.
* Properly places Kanban cards on parts and/or finished goods leaving department.
* Supplies operators with empty roll-around racks, baskets, tubs, etc.
* Utilizes time efficiently in order to move parts between processes in a timely manner.
* Helps to insure strict adherence to all safety policies and practices.
* Assists in all cleaning operations within department.
Requirements
Your Background
High School Diploma or GED, plus 1 - 3 years of related experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Completion of training course for forklift operation and current forklift certification preferred.
$21.84 an hour

What We're Seeking:
SWD Inc., located in Addison, IL. is looking for an on-site Dock Worker/Forklift Operator. This role is Monday-Friday 12pm- roughly 8:30 pm starting at $18.75/hr (with overtime as required). Employees leave each day once the dock work for the day is completed.
Responsibilities/Duties:
Accurately load and unload trucks with a lift truck, pallet jack, or two-wheel dolly.
Correctly weigh incoming material using a floor scale.
Identify fasteners or products from the packing slips provided.
Locate and ship outgoing material to the appropriate customers.
Correctly package ups for shipping.
Interact with customers and drivers in a courteous manner. Complete appropriate documents and necessary paperwork.
Qualifications:
Our ideal candidate would have some knowledge about shipping and receiving or a willingness to learn
Being familiar with a sit-down forklift or willing to learn to drive a forklift.
Availability to work weekends.
Positions involve lifting up to 40lbs, standing and walking.
SWD Inc. requires a pre-employment background check, drug test and physical exam for all positions.
