The Burner Operator is responsible for ensuring that quality products are produced safely and efficiently by setting up, operating, and performing basic programming tasks related to burner systems. * Work Order Processing: Review and interpret paperwork and work order documents to create a mental map of order placements on the table. Group orders by thickness and prioritize based on supervisor's instructions, 2nd runs, customer will calls, or other requirements * Material Handling: Locate materials on the floor or in staging areas, select and utilize appropriate material handling equipment such as chains with plate hooks, plate dogs, magnets, or spreader bars. Place dunnage on the table as required * Torch Setup: Choose the correct tips for the burner torch based on material type and desired cutting edges * CNC Programming: Program the CNC computer according to work order instructions. Clean scrap slag from finished parts as they are cut and stack parts on a skid or place them in a 3-yard hopper for transportation to the tumbler slag cleaning machine * Final Processing: After cleaning, place parts on a skid for packaging. Note customer unloading requirements (e.g., maximum skids), shrink wrap as needed, band materials with steel banding, and label skids with order numbers, customer names, and PO numbers if required * Cleanup: Remove all scrap from the table and place it in the dumpster. Steel Technologies is searching for Corporate Counsel to support our Legal Department and advise on a broad range of legal matters, with a focus on labor and employment. This position will support the legal team and serve as a legal advisor to the Company working with all levels of teammates, business groups and functional departments throughout the organization to foresee and protect the company from legal risks. How you will contribute to our success: Responsibilities will encompass a wide range of the company's legal affairs, including, but not limited to: Labor and Employment - Advise on employment law matters, including discrimination, harassment, FMLA, ADA, wage/hour issues, and workers' compensation. Draft employment policies, conduct investigations, resolve disputes, and support Human Resources in employment decisions and training. Attend depositions, hearings, mediations, and arbitrations and manage outside counsel as needed. Compliance and Risk Management - Identify and mitigate legal risks across employment practices, policies, contracts, and operations. Advise internal stakeholders on compliance and liability exposure and support proactive strategies to reduce employment matters risk. Research, draft, review, edit, develop, and draft Company policies, including the Company's Code of Business Conduct covering all states in which the Company operates. Workers Compensation and OSHA - Work closely with the safety department and all plants across the Company in investigating, responding to, and managing workers' compensation claims and state and federal OSHA-related claims. Manage outside counsel and adjusters on all workers' compensation claims across all states in which the Company does business. Litigation - (Federal and State Jurisdictions) Research case law and statutes, review and organize documents; review, draft, and file pleadings; track deadlines; and attend depositions, hearings, and other matters; monitor and track collection and settlement items related to Company's litigation. Manage and oversee outside counsel on litigation matters. Internal and External Contracts - Draft, review, comment on, and negotiate various types of contracts, including customer and vendor agreements, terms and conditions, bailment agreements, lease agreements, letters of intent, confidentiality agreements, and credit agreements. Assist with contract disputes, concerns, and resolution. Corporate Transactions - Support M&A activity, including legal diligence, documentation, and assisting with post-integration of acquired entities. What you need to be successful: D. from an ABA-accredited law school; active bar membership. 3-6 years of labor and employment law experience (law firm or in-house). Strong business acumen; experience with contracts and corporate matters a plus. Bachelor's in Business or MBA preferred, but not required. Trims, packages and bands finished coils according to customer specifications using proper skids, bands, pads, and wrapping materials. Inspects coils and identifies and reports defects. Reads and interprets production schedules. Accurately identifies proper skid and package specified on schedules. Reads and accurately records coil weights, order numbers, etc. Loads or unloads received or shipped coils onto or off of trucks. Qualifications As the selected candidate, you will need a high school level reading and writing, visual acuity to read labels, meters, gauges, documents and instructions, in addition to the following: Ability to read and comprehend written materials such as schedules, SOPs, work rules, etc. Ability to effectively communicate with all members of team. The Burner Operator is responsible for ensuring that quality products are produced safely and efficiently by setting up, operating, and performing basic programming tasks related to burner systems. Work Order Processing: Review and interpret paperwork and work order documents to create a mental map of order placements on the table. Group orders by thickness and prioritize based on supervisor's instructions, 2nd runs, customer will calls, or other requirements Material Handling: Locate materials on the floor or in staging areas, select and utilize appropriate material handling equipment such as chains with plate hooks, plate dogs, magnets, or spreader bars. Place dunnage on the table as required Torch Setup: Choose the correct tips for the burner torch based on material type and desired cutting edges CNC Programming: Program the CNC computer according to work order instructions. Clean scrap slag from finished parts as they are cut and stack parts on a skid or place them in a 3-yard hopper for transportation to the tumbler slag cleaning machine Final Processing: After cleaning, place parts on a skid for packaging. Note customer unloading requirements (e.g., maximum skids), shrink wrap as needed, band materials with steel banding, and label skids with order numbers, customer names, and PO numbers if required Cleanup: Remove all scrap from the table and place it in the dumpster. The General Manager of Sales is responsible for commercial results and growth of the Midwest region. These are measured through EBITDA and ROWC trends for the Geographic Region and reviewed on a regular cadence against target conditions for a given period. Responsible for working collaboratively with leadership teams across geographic regions and the divisional teams where buying decisions are made within the Midwest Region but bought and processed in another. This position develops sales programs within the Region to strengthen partnerships with current customers and acquire new business. How you can contribute to the team: 1.
