Summary/objective
Under the supervision of the Lead Crisis Bed Shift Supervisor, the Mental Health Technician is responsible for providing a variety of direct client care duties and unit support functions to children and adolescents with a wide variety of psychological and emotional problems (ie. aggressive and defiant behavior due to problems with emotion regulation, suicidal/homicidal ideation, plans, or attempts, family conflicts, etc.) to ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients in a Crisis Bed setting. Minimum requirements for per diem once orientation is completed are: (please note there is availability to work more hours)
1 shift per pay period
1 weekend shift / month as designated by department needs

Responsibilities:
As a PACU RN at Beebe Healthcare, you will:
Deliver perioperative care through comprehensive nursing processes including assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.
Safely identify, label, and dispense medications following established guidelines.
Demonstrate expertise in insertion of intravenous lines and competency with LIS lab and Invision processes.
Ensure proper handling, care, and accountability for all department supplies, instruments, and equipment.
Collect, interpret, and communicate pertinent patient data for surgical patients.
Provide direct patient care, meeting both physical and psychological needs during perioperative phases.
Competently use Philips Cardiac Monitor and assist with airway assessment and management including O2 therapy and ventilator management.
Perform thorough and accurate documentation of post-operative care.
Apply critical thinking, prioritize duties, and demonstrate time management throughout the perioperative setting.
Ensure proper collection, labeling, and processing of blood/urine specimens, ensuring timely delivery to the lab.
Set up and monitor PA lines, including Cardiac Output, A-Line, CVP, and Swan-Ganz.
Qualifications:
Must possess current hospital experience (within the past 5 years)
Prefer minimum of 1 year recent PACU or Critical Care or ED experience
Must be knowledgeable regarding the nursing process and its application--assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
At time of hire, we ask that you either have a current active PALS certification or obtain PALS Certification within the first 6 months of hire.
