Ensures data and information collected for completed procedures is recorded on the appropriate systems and in medical records. * Ensures the orderliness and cleanliness of examination rooms, stocks assigned areas, and follows all regulatory and patient safety clinical standards. Checks and completes required logs and equipment such as refrigerator logs, medication inventories, etc. * Performs administrative duties such as greeting patients; registration; scheduling; pre-certification of tests, procedures and medications; processing insurance forms; preparing financial records; answering phones; and entering ambulatory care charges. What are the requirements for the job? * Graduate of accredited medical assisting program. * Certified or Registered Medical Assistant through an accredited certification organization. * 2 years of experience in a physician's office setting, preferred. * Basic Life Support certification through American Heart Association. * Basic office skills, patient centered mindset, excellent time management and organization skills; ability to multitask and work in fast paced environment.
