Key Responsibilities:
Instruction and Curriculum Delivery:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging math lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to meet the learning needs of all students, including those who are at-risk or have previously struggled with traditional schooling.
Develop and implement individualized learning plans for students as needed.
Student Support and Engagement:
Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
Build strong relationships with students to understand their individual challenges and motivations.
Provide academic and emotional support to help students overcome barriers to learning.
Assessment and Evaluation:
Design and administer assessments to evaluate student progress and understanding.
Use assessment data to inform instruction and provide timely feedback to students.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and progress.
Collaboration and Professional Development:
Work collaboratively with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to create a cohesive and supportive school community.
Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education and mathematics instruction.
Contribute to the development and implementation of school-wide initiatives and programs.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Valid Ohio teaching license with a mathematics endorsement.
Experience:
Previous teaching experience, preferably in a high school or alternative education setting.
Experience working with at-risk youth or in a dropout recovery program is highly desirable.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong knowledge of high school math curriculum and instructional strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students.

Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Illinois.
Academic rank of Associate Professor or Professor.
Demonstrated success in leadership roles within an academic medical center.
A record of excellence in clinical care, education, and/or research.
A strong background in funded research is preferred but not required.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Intervention Specialist to join our dynamic team at North Shore High School. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing personalized education plans that help our students succeed, regardless of the obstacles they face.
Key Responsibilities:
IEP Mastermind: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that are as unique as our students. Regularly review and adjust these plans to ensure goals are met and exceeded.
Student Champion: Provide direct support and tailored instruction to students with special needs, both inside and outside the classroom. Develop innovative strategies and interventions to address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional challenges.
Team Collaborator: Work closely with educators, administrators, and families to ensure that students receive the accommodations and modifications they need to thrive. Facilitate open and effective communication between all stakeholders.
Advocacy Warrior: Advocate fiercely for the needs and rights of students with disabilities. Foster an inclusive and supportive school culture that celebrates diversity and promotes awareness and understanding of special education.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
Valid Ohio teaching license as an Intervention Specialist
Demonstrated experience in special education, including developing and implementing IEPs
Deep understanding of special education laws and regulations
Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively with a diverse team
A steadfast commitment to the success and well-being of students with special needs
Experience in a dropout recovery or non-traditional educational setting is a plus
