Requirements: Current ARDMS certification. Job Purpose: Performs and assists with high quality diagnostic ultrasound procedures, focusing on patient care and education. A Day in the Life of a Diagnostic Sonographer Float: Produces high-quality ultrasound images and obtain appropriate measurements for each exam. Maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and scanning technique. Communicates with the radiologist and understands and performs any necessary additional exams.
