ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for the management, development, direction, and implementation of Assets/Facility Support Services Mechanical Maintenance, Mobile Equipment Maintenance, Facility Maintenance - Electrical, Mechanical, and Grounds Maintenance, Information Technology Computing Infrastructure Functions, and Work Control Functions. Supervises facility support activities of assigned personnel, including staffing and performance management. Supports Facility Custodial and Logistics Management & Distribution personnel management as directed. Schedules work to be performed and monitors progress. Manages and maintains the computerized maintenance management system. Ensures timely and cost-effective completion of facility services, including preventative and corrective maintenance, to provide superior performance of contract requirements Assists in the preparation of procedure manuals and instructions that govern facility support services and monitors adherence to those procedures. Responsible for the implementation of safety and security policies, procedures and instruction for operation activities; and ensures compliance with all state and federal codes, requirements, and standards. Responsible for monitoring cost, both labor and materials, ensuring only legitimate/required expenses are approved. Prepares progress and expenditure forecasts and other operation reports as required. Supports Facilities Information Management System as required including providing Annual Actual Maintenance Costs, and supports tracking/accounting of Property. Coordinates facility support activities and provides input to personnel when requested by the responsible manager. Implements approved training programs for designated personnel. Monitors labor relations within the assigned area and ensures compliance with union contract. Ensures safety and health of employees during work tasks, utilizing good work practices and following procedures and protocols. Responsible and accountable for Safety & Health performance and the communication of safety awareness. Maintains a safe working environment. Demonstrates awareness and implementation of applicable environmental, safety, and health (ES&H) requirements while also alerting co-workers of such requirements as needed. Demonstrates the ability to get along with coworkers, customers and visitors. Demonstrates a personal commitment to safety and quality. Performs other duties as assigned.
