Make sure all daily truck inspections are performed (tire pressure, oil, equipment, etc). Make sure the truck has enough receipts, safety equipment, and marketing material. Price jobs aggressively, meeting and surpassing benchmarks. Be able to make logistical decisions (when to dispose of, what to donate or recycle, how to best complete a job, how to package items and load a truck, how to market during downtime). Lead your team by relevant examples, showing them what the core values of the company are all about. Help to train new hires about the day to day operations and core values. JOB SUMMARY: The Scenic Designer is responsible for executing the construction of all scenery, from design to performances, ensuring a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail. The Scenic Designer will collaborate with the director and production team to conceptualize and create scenery that enhances the characters and storytelling while adhering to the needs of the performance space. They will identify and source building materials, set dressing, and other items needed for construction while adhering to both time and budget constraints. The Scenic Designer will occasionally lead a team of community volunteers, ensuring safety is maintained. They will also effectively manage time to meet deadlines and ensure the set is ready for tech week and performances. Scenic designers are expected to attend staff meetings, tech week, performances, and strike. LOCATION: Community Recreation Center, 505 N.
