JOB SUMMARY: The Scenic Designer is responsible for executing the construction of all scenery, from design to performances, ensuring a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail. The Scenic Designer will collaborate with the director and production team to conceptualize and create scenery that enhances the characters and storytelling while adhering to the needs of the performance space. They will identify and source building materials, set dressing, and other items needed for construction while adhering to both time and budget constraints. QUALIFICATIONS Prior retail experience preferred in similar product lines, but willing to train the right candidate. Proven customer service skills required. Ability to work well as a team member, accept constructive feedback, and follow directions. Ability to count and distribute cash quickly and accurately. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Sales and goal driven. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, up to 8 hours a day. Lifting up to 40 lbs. without assistance. May involve heavier lifting with assistance of team member or cart/dolly. Bending, rotating, and reaching customary to a retail environment; including receiving, pricing, and stocking/back stocking merchandise. Exposure to typical retail environment conditions and noise levels. Able to operate a computerized sales terminal.
