Therapeutic Training and Support Worker Northeast Center for Youth and Families has a full-time opening for the position of Therapeutic Training and Support Worker to be part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team. The TT&SW works under the supervision of a clinician to support implementation of the Clinician's treatment plan and assists the youth and family in achieving the goals of the plan. Implementation of objectives for the treatment plan will address the youth's mental health, behavioral and emotional needs. This service includes teaching the youth to understand, direct, interpret, manage, and control feelings and emotional responses to situations and to assist the family to address the youth's emotional and mental health needs. Qualifications include: High School Diploma/GED plus at least two years of experience working with children/adolescents/transition-aged youths OR Associates Degree and a minimum of one (1) year of relevant direct service experience working with youth and families who require behavior management to address mental health needs. Bachelors Degree from an accredited university and one (1) year of direct relevant experience working with youth and families who require behavior management to address mental health needs preferred. Must be at least 21 years of age Approved CORI, DCF and driving background checks. Valid driving license in active status and reliable transportation Auto Insurance: It is NCYF's policy for our Therapeutic Training and Support Workers to have at minimum: Optional Bodily Injury to Others (coverage part 5 on a Mass Auto policy) limits of $100,000 per person/$300,000 per accident, and Damage to Someone Else's Property (part 4) limits of at least $100,000 on the personal vehicle(s) used to transport clients. Job Summary: Supervise the delivery of high-quality residential services to the individuals receiving support from Community Strategies in Massachusetts. Support a culture that develops superior agency wide operations through a leadership role in Community Strategies. Functional Responsibilities: Coordinates and supervises daily residential and program activities including supervision of staff, maintenance of residence, and teaching personal care of the consumers. Ensure high quality residential services to all individuals delivered within a team management approach Able to apply all the basic tenants of Positive Behavioral Supports (PBS) in work with individuals and staff Represent CRJ/CS in meetings with stakeholders, including funders, families, guardians, regulatory and review committees and agencies Hire, train, supervise and manage the performance of program operations staff with particular focus on each of the Residential Directors. Provide on-call support in the evening and on weekends for the group home(s) in conjunction with the Residential Director, Clinical Department and Nursing Department. Organizes and facilitates opportunities for community integration in leisure and vocational areas for all consumers as well as maintaining open communications with the consumers family, service coordinators and responsible outside Departments. Helps and supports individuals develop confidence and accountability to the rules of society and the structure of the program Ensures all the proper documentation of individual care in the HCSIS and Electronic Medical Records system as well as trains all staff on the proper handling of information. Manages program funds and supervises personal finances for each of the individuals. Implement Policies and Procedures in accordance with the regulations of the State of Massachusetts and consistent with CRJ agency practice Researches and utilizes all available means of therapy in relation to each client's individual needs. Implement all behavior plans, ISP objectives, ADLs, and recreational activities. Ensure all performance reviews are conducted annually and provide on-going supervision to all staff. Insure that complete and appropriate individual records are maintained in accordance with the Department of Developmental Services and Community Resources for Justice Regulations and policies. Ensures duties and responsibilities are carried out in a supportive and professional manner and attends appropriate meetings. Performs other job-related projects and activities as requested or directed. Addendum:Based on the specific needs of the individuals supported in the home, the Program Manager have additional responsibilities to meet those needs. The current designations in these specific locations are Stabilization, Behavioral and Medical. Additional responsibilities will be outlined by the Residential Director in accordance with the contract or service agreement for that specific location. This Medical Assistant will be responsible for performing a variety of nursing duties designed to facilitate the overall care of consumers seen in the clinic while maintaining their optimal physical and emotional wellness. Performs other similar duties in compliance with medical policies and procedures of the organization and federal and state regulations. The Medical Assistant will complete routine health assessments of youth as per contractual regulations and provide individual health education to clients as needed as well as schedule psychiatric appointments for consumers who are seen by Psychiatrist; maintain the psychiatric appointment schedule and client medication list and update as needed, and schedule follow-up appointments for med prescribers. The Medical Assistant will also check in patients, check vitals, weight, etc. as directed by prescriber, facilitate prescription refills and assist with medication questions and concerns as needed, and assist with administrative duties related to the outpatient clinic. (e.g. Including but not limited to; consents, Roger's orders, prior authorizations, chart documentation, billing, etc.) This Medical Assistant will be responsible for communicating with staff or parents/guardians regarding health concerns of clients and complete necessary paperwork, requesting prior medical records for clients and facilitate process to obtain records, and completing necessary documentation for client records as needed (e.g. nursing notes).
