Van Northeast Regional Fleet Truck Driver Job with Gold Zone Pay

As a Van Northeast Regional Fleet driver, you'll haul largely no\-touch freight in the Northeast\.

You'll pick up and deliver to many of the same customers\.

You will get home on the weekends \- typically for 48 hours\.

You'll likely get a choice of when to leave the house to return to work \- either get home on a Friday and leave on a Sunday or get home on Saturday and launch on Monday\.

We strive to get you home with a load so you'll know well in advance where you're going when you head back out\.

### Where will I drive?

The Van Northeast Regional Fleet operates in fourteen states: Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, and Ohio\.

### What is the Gold Zone?

The **Gold Zone** is an area where you'll earn additional cents per mile on top the sliding mileage rates\.

When you drive through the states of New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island and portions of other states such as New York \(the southeast section including the cities of Utica and Albany\), Pennsylvania \(east of I\-81\), Vermont \(South of Highway 9\), New Hampshire \(south of Manchester\), and Maryland \(the northern portion, including Baltimore\), you'll earn another 4 cents per mile\.

About 50% of your miles will be in the **Gold Zone** \.

**Position: Northeast Regional Transportation Manager**

**Location: South Deerfield, MA or Northeast region (remote)**

**Job Summary:**

+ The Regional Manager, Transportation, is responsible for

+ Managing transportation optimization opportunities for specific locations,

+ Concentrating on developing and implementing best practices.

+ As an integral part of the Transportation Unification team, the role will be highly visible with impact across all Newell Brands business units.

+ Direct oversight and responsibility over cost and service improvement programs

+ Partner with supply chain leaders across all Newell business units.

+ Owns the business relationship with supported business unit management teams to establish scope, roles, & responsibilities on all transportation related functions.

+ Focus on key transportation metrics while also leading Transportation analytics to drive solutions

+ On-Time Delivery,

+ Cost/Service Improvement Programs

+ Freight spend performance vs. budget

+ Others...etc.

+ Leverage the processes within business units, drive consistency, and modify processes in accordance with Supply Chain standards.

Job Duties:

• _Partner with Business Unit Supply Chain leaders_ and _help influence outcomes for their sites_ on Transportation-related issues.

• Focus on specific locations within a region to improve carrier performance.

• Lead the Transportation Unification expansion, stabilization, and operation.

• Lead Transportation assessments and solutioning, including identifying gaps/opportunities, and developing associated solutions.

• Lead key Transportation projects and initiatives.

• Analyze data to assist in key decisions regarding corporate wide distribution and transportation productivity.

• Work in multiple businesses to collect and analyze Transportation data, Influence with data conclusions.

• Create and implement a methodology to monitor, investigate, and manage standardized Transportation KPIs.
