Position Summary
The NRHC Dentist conducts a program of general practice dental care with responsibility for examination, diagnosis, and treatment of pediatric and adult patients, emphasizing preventive care and instruction in dental hygiene. Provides dental treatment and advice to patients as may be indicated. The dentist will particularly serve in this role as a family dentist and will see patients in all age groups and serve as a consultant in dentistry to other health professions. Work schedule is 1 - 2 days per week.
Required Qualifications
Requires graduation from an accredited school of dentistry; possession of valid D.D.S./D.M.D. License to practice in the State of California.
Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of general and pediatric dentistry.
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills required.
Ability to apply modern methods and practices of general four-handed dentistry.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision for patient care and follow-up, and with high productivity.
Current CPR and first aid certificate or willingness to be trained required within first (90) ninety days of employment.
Bilingual in Spanish preferred; or other languages desirable.
Travel as needed.
Must have valid driver's license and insurable driving record.

Performs dental operations and treats oral diseases; refers cases, when appropriate; confers with physicians regarding medical/dental problems.
Educates patients and parents in the nature of oral health related conditions and in the general promotion of oral health related disease prevention.
Attends staff conferences.
Keeps clinical and other records regarding services provided, supplies and materials used.
Exercise professional judgment in the performance of services provided consistent with the organization's policies and the standards of the dental profession.
Assists in the provision of technical assistance and health education to the community as requested.
Assists in the coordination and integration of the organization's dental programs and services with other organization programs and services for the welfare of the company's patients.
Responsible for personal full compliance with all applicable federal, state, local and center rules, regulations, protocols and procedures governing the practice of dentistry and the clinical provision of dental care as well as those relating to, but not limited to, personnel issues, work place safety, public health and confidentiality.

The Patient Support Coordinator (PSC) performs general clerical and receptionist functions for the clinical team. The Customer Service Representative will report directly to the Front Office Supervisor, but performs tasks as needed for other members of the NRHC team.
Duties/Responsibilities
Interacts with customers via telephone or in person to provide support and information on setting up appointments and NRHC services.
Collects and enters data in electronic health records for new or additional patients and patient appointments.
Fields patient questions and complaints; when the issue is beyond the representative's knowledge, forwards to the assigned specialist or other appropriate staff.
Ensures that appropriate actions are taken to resolve patient problems and concerns.
Maintains patient accounts and records of patient interactions with details of inquiries, complaints, or comments.

Turns on all lights, checks for cleanliness, orderliness and break-ins.
At the end of day, closes down office. Turns off lights and copier, locks office, switches telephone lines to answering service.

Summary: The Referral Coordinator provides support to the clinic providers and back office nurses. Send Referrals to the rendering

Perform 14 and 21 day follow-up on all processed referrals
