Job Description CommentsThe Lead Oncology Pharmacist is responsible for the provision of pharmaceutical care to oncology patients in the inpatient and outpatient settings and serves as an expert consultant within the specialty practice areas of oncology and supportive care/symptom management. Providing pharmaceutical care within the scope of this position includes but is not limited to supervising support staff, participating in both clinical and dispensing activities related to chemotherapy, drug utilization evaluations, formulary monitoring, formulary monographs/proposals within the oncology practice area, drug information requests, adverse drug reaction monitoring, and education of colleagues, patients, and providers alike. This person may provide pharmacy services to patients from the child, adolescent, adult and geriatric age groups.
