This position will also assist with shelving, collection maintenance, and other library and archives-related activities. The position works primarily on the Lawrence campus, but some time and travel to the Haverhill campus may be required.
RESPONSIBILITIES\:

Aid students and other patrons with circulation services
Answer general questions related to information needs utilizing library resources (catalog, databases, web sources, etc.)

The Chief Executive Officer

Supervise staff, providing performance management, mentorship, and professional development.

Title: Assistant Professor - Medical Laboratory Technology Unit: MCCC Day Faculty Department: Medical Laboratory Technology Reports to: Dean of Health General Summary: The Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) Program Faculty is a creative, knowledgeable, and flexible individual who provides classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction in a MLT program that serves a diverse student body and community. Subject areas include: Urinalysis and Body fluids, Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Medical Microbiology, Immunology and Serology, Clinical Chemistry, and Immunohematology. The faculty member will instruct courses in both the day and 11-month accelerated programs and work with the program Coordinator to eventually assume this role in the near future; work with other faculty in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the program; participates in college service and student advisement. The faculty is committed to inclusive excellence and diversity, and continuous professional improvement. These duties are performed in the fall and spring semesters.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Provide classroom instruction for sessions, which last up to four hours. This requires preparation of materials, conducting lecture/discussion, for a group of up to 20 students, using a variety of instructional materials and technologies. Didactic instruction also includes exam preparation, proctoring, correcting, grading and posting of exam grades.
* Provide laboratory instruction, which includes didactic presentations, demonstrations, skill remediation and evaluation of skill competence in a timely manner and according to department policy. Lab instruction may also include preparation of equipment and materials for labs as well as securing/putting away equipment after the conclusion of the lab.
* Post and conduct office hours in his/her office space as required by Article XII of the MCCC Agreement.
* Participate fully in department meetings including NAACLS accreditation self-study, team taught course collaboration, assessment work, and calibration activities.
* Participate in college governance and college service as required by Article XII of the MCCC Agreement.
* Provide academic advising for students on an ongoing basis.

* Three years of teaching experience in a higher-education, industry or clinical setting.

The Dean of Liberal Studies requires a commitment to advancing access, equity, and DEIJ, as well as promoting the value of multilingualism. The Dean will lead strategic initiatives, foster curricular innovation, and support programs and faculty to align with the College's mission and Strategic Plan. The Dean will collaborate across departments to ensure the Division contributes to the College's efforts to serve a diverse student body and meet the region's workforce and academic needs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Champion DEIJ and Multilingualism: Foster a culture of access, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of divisional operations. Promote the value of multilingualism through our HSI status and dual language programming as a key asset for student success and the region's workforce.
* Strategic Leadership: Lead strategic planning efforts for the Division, aligning goals with the College's mission and Strategic Plan. Support initiatives that advance equity and inclusion, particularly for historically underserved and multilingual students.
* Curriculum and Program Development: Collaborate with faculty to develop and revise curriculum that reflects diverse perspectives and supports equitable student outcomes. Lead academic program review and align offerings with workforce and transfer needs.
* Faculty and Staff Support: Hire, supervise, and evaluate adjunct faculty and staff within the Division. Promote professional development opportunities to enhance equity-focused teaching and learning practices.
* Early College and Community Partnerships: Collaborate with the Post-Secondary Transitions Office to support Early College Liberal Studies sections. Foster partnerships with community organizations to expand educational access.
* Student Success and Support: Address student inquiries, concerns, and challenges with an equity-minded approach. Implement practices and policies to support student success, retention, and completion.
* Operational Management: Oversee course scheduling, enrollment management, and divisional budgeting. Develop and manage grant proposals to support innovative programming.
* Advocacy and Representation: Advocate for the Liberal Studies Division within institutional planning and decision-making. Represent the College in community and professional settings to advance DEIJ and multilingualism.

Requirements:
* Master's degree in education, educational administration, or a related field within the Liberal Arts required; Doctoral degree preferred.

* Experience in curriculum development, outcomes assessment, and program innovation, with a focus on equitable outcomes for diverse student populations.
* Successful teaching experience in higher education, with community college experience preferred.

ABOUT TRIO UPWARD BOUND PROGRAM
The North Shore Community College (NSCC) TRIO Upward Bound (UB) Program is a federally funded program for low-income, first-generation, and/or academically at-risk high school students. The primary mission is to increase the rate at which participants complete their secondary school education, and enroll in and graduate from institutions of postsecondary education. The UB program provides academic, co- and extracurricular activities during the academic year and the summer, including instruction, tutoring, college tours, cultural events, health and fitness activities, educational workshops, and service activities.
ABOUT UB SUMMER ACADEMY
The UB Summer Academy is a six-week program that simulates commuter and residential college experiences. The Summer Academy serves approximately 40 students from the Lynn Public Schools. This year's Summer Academy includes a four-week, day program at North Shore Community College's Lynn Campus and a two- week residential program at Umass Amherst. The program runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM during the non-residential component and Sunday evening through Saturday afternoon during the residential component. The overarching theme for this year's Summer Academy is, Organize, Agitate, Educate.
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
The Summer Assistants assist the Program and Academic Coordinators and the Program Secretary with organizational clerical work and managing students.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Provide clerical support as needed for the Upward Bound staff, including but not limited to: making copies, taking attendance, making and answering phone calls
* Prepare and set up materials as needed
* Assist with monitoring daily attendance and departure of program participants
* Assist in attendance checks and monitoring students during class and activities
* Assist with data entry via Google forms and Excel spreadsheets
* Assist with editing, organizing, and designing: Summer Academy Yearbook and T-shirt contest based on the summer theme, Organize, Agitate, Educate.
* Participate in one-on-one and group staff, student, and all-program meetings
* Build and maintain a positive, supportive, productive, and safe environment for both students and staff
* Appropriately represent NSCC and UB at all events
* Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
* Must be at least 18 years old at the start of the program
* Clerical experience in a customer service setting preferred
* Demonstrates a high degree of creativity, energy, and enthusiasm
* Strong interpersonal communication skills
* Knowledge of/experience with the Upward Bound program. Preference is given to alumni, and in particular, alumni who actively participate in their senior year
* Demonstrated ability to be punctual and dependable
* Demonstrated ability to act as a team player
* Demonstrated ability to maintain professional boundaries and uphold program policies
* Bi-lingual (Spanish, French, Khmer) preferred

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
This position provides customer service and technical support to the NSCC user community which is composed of approximately 11,000 faculty, staff and students. Responsible for first tier support, troubleshooting and triage of requests that are received via email, chat, telephone or in person. Requests will include topics such as access to network resources, assistance with account access (account set up and password resets), virus and malware removal, software installation and troubleshooting, and networked printers support. Act as the liaison between customers and Information Systems to ensure that support requests are resolved in a timely, efficient manner. Facilitate the successful closure of Help Desk tickets by entering and tracking all requests for support via our Help Desk ticketing software. Provide Help Desk and other statistical reports to management on an ad-hoc and scheduled basis. This position also coordinates & performs Information Systems activities related to employee onboarding and offboarding.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Help Desk Coordination and Technical Support
* Provide and maintain superior customer support, serving as the primary Help Desk triage resource.
* Resolve tier I issues via phone, email or in person, assign cases to appropriate staff and escalating cases to senior level staff as needed.
* Utilize ticketing software to assign and track support requests to completion, employing effective and ongoing communication with customers and Information Systems support staff as necessary.
* When appropriate, leverage technology tools to investigate support requests, whether in person or remote. These tools may include, but are not limited to, remote meeting and remote access software.
* Provide basic support and troubleshooting of computer hardware and software. This includes, but not limited to, portal account access, VPN usage, multifactor authentication, VoIP and cellular telephony devices, Microsoft Office, Banner, Adobe products and basic networking/Active Directory principles.
* Generate statistical reports via the Help Desk ticketing system to provide scheduled and ad-hoc metrics to the Information Systems management team.

Coordination of Employee Onboarding & Offboarding
* Oversee and manage the Information Systems role as it relates to the employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
* Ensure technology requirements are communicated, prepared and installed in advance of the new employee start date.
* Coordinate the creation, maintenance and deprovisioning of employee accounts for new & existing employees. These accounts provide access to the campus portal, email, network drives, VPN, distribution groups, telephony, video conferencing, Banner, and many other resources.
